So Tim's non fictional story time. Here in Southern Illinois we have a lake called Devil's Kitchen. It's simply a valley that they dammed off and flooded. It is 90' deep at it's deepest point and is the deepest lake in Illinois. Back in the 90's they introduced stocked trout for the purpose of sport fishing, with the intention of restocking each year. They do this in many of our local state funded lakes and ponds, and hold over is not expected as our lakes get too hot to support trout. However; because of it's depth the trout were able to survive year round and have since spawned each year and grown to a very healthy population. The lake has a 9.9hp limit and is rather treacherous, as they did not remove any trees before flooding it. This has led to the lake not being very pressured and has a very healthy big bass population. If I had one of these trout baits I'd take it there and throw it till my arm fell off or until I caught a trophy bass!
@NASPELTZ Жыл бұрын
Well I hope you win Tim I’d love to see you slam em on it. If not I can have the guy make a few more and we can go hit the lake and collab. There hand made and carved out of wood which is awesome

Honestly I can’t stand content creators who go crazy for small fish like they have never caught a fish before. I’m all for getting excited over catching a fish, nothing wrong with being happy over your catch, but so many guys go over the top just for the video. I’m just happy to be on the water, it’s relaxing and screaming ruins that, not gonna lie though I won’t scream but I’ve cried a little after a few big catches over the years haha
@mosshark11 ай бұрын
Back in new jersey I was fishing with tiny spoons for stocked trout and a big largemouth demolished a 10" trout I had hooked 5 ft from shore. I lost the trout and the bass got a meal. I came back later armed with my baitcaster and 6" rainbow trout plastic swimbait caught my pb. at 6lbs 2oz. which is a monster for northern largemouth. conclusion: fat 'beer belly' bass love stocked rainbow trout. you want a pb use trout swimbaits.

@@NASPELTZ Freewell makes a great set. However, after purchasing the adjustable lense set, I discovered they were not waterproof if I dropped the camera in the water. Freewell makes another set that is non adjustable but still waterproof. If it is a cloudy or rainy day like this video you an purchase their polarized filter without any darkening effect. The polarized filter should not effect your video stabilization in your GoPro however a ND filter will slightly change your hyper smooth if your GoPro is equipped with it.
