I use an 8' conventional Ugly Stick with an AbuGsrcia bass real. 17lb. Small diameter line. 1/2 buck on bottom with Gulp grub. 2 to 21/2 up I tie in a small loop with plain flounder hook on it. Bait it with a 4 " tapered strip of squid. I catch most on the squid strip. I can get great distance with the 1/2 Oz. I use strictly conventional bass fishing so roll overs are not a problem. The new magnet systems work really well for slowing down the spool.

Thanks for this. I"m a big fan of John Skinner as well (probably more jealous than anything else!). So... what's the "teaser" all about? Also, I just don't want to spend the time learning how to perfect the FG. I'm happy with the double-uni. To each their own, I guess? Thanks again!

Hey Gary. I just checked and the link must have changed. Sometimes it happens with Amazon. The size is supposed to be medium. Hope this helps.

Ok question. Are ocean city nj beaches cursed? It is most likely me. Recently retired PA guy that loves to surf fish but don’t get down there enough. Horrible luck so trying to learn the surf reading, picking spots, rigs etc. Have you fished Ocean City and had luck? I have watched these guys in LBI catching strippers. Of course I grew up vacationing in OC.

Hey how you doing Steve hope all is well! new subscriber Joe here and good stuff you have put out here here for your Fluke Surf Setup and I would like to ask you one ? about that Thundermist (T-Teaser) Setup as it looks interesting along with the same type of similar T 3-Way Swivels they also put out too.....Just was wondering your thoughts on the teaser and do you feel it works well? or is it too close to the Main Line when you hook a fish on it?...Like any problems or issues with a Fish wrapping around the main line or No? as I'm debating to pick up a few of these asap....Any feedback would be appreciate it ok!...Thx, Joe
@thelinecook2 жыл бұрын
Hey joe thanks for watching and welcome! I almost never have any line twist with it. Make sure you tie a standard fg knot with 5-6 feet of fluorocarbon leader and connect that to the Teaser-T. The presentation is great and I hook plenty of fish on the teaser some being keeper size as well. Give it a shot and let me know what you think. Good luck out there.

@@thelinecook Thanks Steve for thr info as Yes, I have just order of few of these Teasers and also some of their standard rolling T3-Ways as well too to try out as I like to make my own rigs for this type of light tackle Fluke Jigging and those swivels have good reviews too on Tackle Direct so I'am glad I seen them here on your setup....Thx again, and Good Luck next time out! 👍🏻🎣
