I just started trying to figure out 6” swimbaits. Took a Cull Shad out today and glued it in my hand for about three hours. Had fun. I only caught a couple but that thing got knocked sideways two or three times before it got back to the kayak on most casts.

Awesome video brotha! I can't wait to get out weekly. In Illinois here and weather for spring have been absolutely horrible! Keep up the great content 👊

Absolutely crazy 🤪 😜 bite. Buffalo battleship that ate the bait then finish it off with a 19.5 Unit Spot. Solid buddy. Glad I don't have to choose Team Rudd or Team Creek yet. However I am researching retirement in your neck of the woods near Chattanooga. My brother wants us to retire near one another and as little snow as possible without gators and good fishing nearby. No problem

That carp thing was a quillback. They’ll get aggressive every once in a while and run down a baitfish. Here in Michigan ours are usually chrome. They’re the coolest member of the sucker family imo. I’d rather catch a smallie or spot but they’re still pretty cool… Dang cool video!

Legit caught my first 5lber on a super windy day I had been fighting the wind all day and finally gave up and let it blow me hard into a bank and just fished from there sitting still for a few minutes and low and behold I catch what was my PB at the time. One thing for sure fishing will teach you to use everything you can to your advantage lol

At the 12:45ish mark, wasn't that a buffalo, not a carp? If so, it biting a bait would make a little more sense.

Alex, sure wish you would be more specific when telling us what you are fishing, was that a 6" cull shad or 8", after watching a few of your yak adventures, I'm wondering why they dont build those things with some recessed wheels in the bottom, seems like you 4 wheel that bottom over a lot of land.
