Thanks for sharing the location, I've been looking for a place like this. I usually go to the jetties but this place seems more my type. I'm a catch-and-release fisherman and hope people don't mind if I go there for fun.

I've been coming down from HTown for the last two Starship test flights and wetting a line. 🤖🚀🎣 I had wondered about this spot when the beach is blown out. 👍

I have NEVER fished there before. I live and fish here in Galveston Tx. Whats the flounder fishing like there?
@seffishing3 ай бұрын
It’s good if u target them either in calm conditions and gig for them. But if ur looking for them while on kayak or boat. We have a few spots that have plenty of them

Do baitcasters cast farther than spinning reels ?
@seffishing8 ай бұрын
Mmmmm idk about all that lol. It definitely has a lot to do with what kind of reel u use as in the size, the lb test of the braid on either or. And well winds and the weight of the bait ur using etc…. But using a pinning reel and casting like 1000 times for me is tiring. It’s much easier and lighter for me to use a baitcaster for lures and when I’m casting a lot

I go there alot to get bait. Always see people catching oversized snook under the bridge and keeping them. Its kind of upsetting when i see it.

Where is this spot again?😂 Wish the game wardens showed up a lot more there; so there would be less people there casting over my line; nice close place to go to but people don’t keep it clean. LOL

Obviously you're not from here brotha, I give you a little history on this place it was under water once and then someone decided to close the water canal to it, not too long ago they made the decision to open the water canal one more time, that place was a desert for many years, so long story short not a secret
@seffishing8 ай бұрын
I completely understand. I actually know the man who dug out this channel. He owns oil changing places. Hence the name “gaymen” that’s his last name. And yes the “secret” on the title was sarcasm. Everyone knows this spot. 😉
