I once waited for a cloud to cover the sun before casting my topwater. Result - a fish of about 22lbs. Nice work, George.

Glad you liked the video! A 22lb pike would be the fish of a lifetime for me. Hopefully one day I’ll manage it! Jury is still out on it for me regarding if it’s worth trying in the sun. Clouds are definitely better, but after this trip I think it’s not a lost cause in bright conditions

In a future video could u fish in Lancaster City centre on the canal (where I fish) there's also a pub in the center called the water witch and it holds some big pike 🎣😁 as I'd love to see u catch a biggen out of my local stretch. (also thank you so much for commenting on my video I really appreciate a big youtuber commenting on my first video ✌️🎣)

Nice work gonna be up that way in next few weeks, any updates with the pollution etc etc has it cleared , any signs of any fish around that area, was brilliant for pike before?

Pollution hadn’t cleared no and is still moving south. Glasson dock isn’t affected though and everywhere north of Lancaster is still okay too 👍

Been watching your vids for a while now and it inspired me to try fishing for pike. Went down to the Lancaster canal for the whole day and didn’t manage to even get a bite I understand I may be doing something wrong was just wondering if you had any tips on what lure or where abouts to fish the canal ? Any advise helps 👍

Me too mate, i was at hasty brow for most of the day and the only catches were tiddlers that mistakely swam into my landing net. Ive only juat taken up fishing though so im probably doing more wrong than right

Thanks mate! There's pike all through the canal but because of the pollution i'd say fish north of lancaster. As for lures, rapala husly jerk, westin swim and the topwater snake are all good bets! Thanks for watching

The skerton strech is salt water mate it turns into fresh water near Halton 👍

Hi i know im late to the video but what trace did you use for the snake lure? most of the time the traces i use sink the topwater lure so im interested where i can get some?

I just use 30lb titanium traces 👍 not sure on the brand but they come in a yellow packet and are sold in most tackle shops. Hope this helps!
