Just so u know u had it backwards. The one right next to the bill makes it float with a slowish steady retrieve. The one on the chin makes it dive a lil bit

hi I.B. and andy, first video I've watched of yours. you 2 are naturals on camera, funny as well as informative and not up yourselves like some youtubers are! you have a new subscriber keep up the good work! 🤘

p.s. keep using the 3d snake! I used mine for the 1st time yesterday (shallow park lake) and had 2 jacks, I found that on long casts sink the tip and then sink the line properly and the snake will stay at about 12 inches under the surface until really close in. can not wait to use it in summer when they're really on the move!
@IBandAndyFishing5 жыл бұрын
That's super kind, thanks Daniel! We'll try to keep them coming- what kind of videos do you like to see? I've retired the snakes until it warms up a bit, they'll only end up in trees otherwise 🙈😂

@@IBandAndyFishing You're welcome! the kind of videos I like to see, just regular people enjoying their hobby, not taking it or themselves too seriously, well filmed and well presented, informative.. just keep doing what you're doing, don't change too much, and the channel will grow from strength to strength 😊

Few weeks ago, fished a team match which I won on an individual front but only 7th as a team. Last weekend fished Talybont Reservoir in Wales. Had 20 brownies between 2 of us over 2 days. Wind was blowing like crazy but the fish were on the bite
@IBandAndyFishing6 жыл бұрын
Well done, that’s a great result. We fished the Eyebrook reservoir last weekend for pike, so I know what you mean about the wind! The whole past week the wind was crazy 💨💨💨💨💨💨 !

I like the review system, theres a lot of softbaits out there of varying quality, probably, like a lot of folks, I bought cheapy ones, which are now in the bin or on keyrings, so your review system suits me. Re topwater, I've never caught on it (except stripping back muddler minnows for trout in UK), but fish over here are mega spooky, I still try as there are some humungous snags. Some lakes over here have been stocked with black bass, so I will have go for them sometime.I also like to see "blanks" and difficult days-you watch most youtube vids and see fish being caught left right n centre , so good on you for showing the tough days. I can see why Andy is (trying) to grow a beard now, maybe he's thinking of sticking some of the beard on his head LOL. Got the same hairstyle myself, saves on shampoo and barbers, and you never get a bad hair day, plus I'm a biker so I dont get helmet hair either. For me, I would not pay that price for one until I have caught a few times on the surface, I like the action in the water though.

I think for confidence you have to rate it based on the idea that you would only reach for it in the right situation and in that situation how confident would you be.

Nice review both, Have seen the debates online regarding this, I personally love top water. Have to agree with IB with colours, our native species of snakes are not overly colourful, that being said ive not seen many frog/duck hybrids in the wild lately lol. See you on the next one.

Thanks! At least someone agrees with me 😂😂😂 Have you been out recently? IB xx

@@IBandAndyFishing went out at the weekend on the ultra light setup for a couple hours, fair few perch/wasps and a 8lb pike. Got 3 days out on the Norfolk broads this week though so can't wait for that. :)

Nice revieuw-vid. I normaly not like the much talking vid's, but this was interesting and fun to watch.

Thanks Edwin, that's really kind! Have you tried the snake before?
@edwinjonkman6 жыл бұрын
No I didn't trie the snake, but like the action of it. In that way I also believe that the snake will catch a lot off anglers lol. But I believe it must be fun catching with such a kind of lure. Catching on topwater is always fun.

If that lure won't sink to your required depth, you might try an inline spiral lead (if you can still buy such kit) we had them to pull down floating plugs, there were also flat half moon leads, essentially a lead washer, you folded them in half. over the line; I think they were also used with dead baits and Jardine tackle. I just checked- spiral leads can still be foundwww.sharnbrooktackle.com/acatalog/Spiral-Leads-342.html, half moon leads can be made with small hole saw in a drill I would guess, maybe make some copper ones-not sure if they would work though.Pinch a small shot below the weights to stop them sliding.

Not really fair that you didn’t fish it in the right conditions. You said it yourself. Nice videos though 😀
@IBandAndyFishing6 жыл бұрын
Yeah, we tried to not factor the 2 blanks in to the scoring, it's a tough one for a topwater in October! I think we'll do it again next spring. Have you tried them? Thanks for the view!
@mattpjsmith6 жыл бұрын
Ieva and Andy Fishing no not tried one. Might get one for next summer. I imagine it will work well running by reeded margins where there are eels and the odd snake present.
