I'm in Saint Louis about a mile away from the Mississippi river. I went down there yesterday and picked up a bunch of fossils right at the water line. The water is so far from the banks where I usually sit. I can't post pics in this comment but I wish I could!

You guys do a really great job. You're a breath of fresh air in a KZbin which is crowded with true crime, politics, in general disarray. At a certain point you have to turn this stuff off. This feels much better and it also is very educational. I always learn a lot. Spent 4 months living in elephant Butte New Mexico. This was years ago but lake was still very low then.

We went through a similar drought last summer in Northern Europe, shipping was nearly shut down so I know what problems that causes. Talked to some riverboat personnel and they had to decrease their loading capacity by 70% to be able to get through the shallowest spots on some routes. It made construction materials and coal prices go insane. Hope this crazy weather madness calms down in the future...

I live in Brisbane Australia. A few years back we were on restrictions and sharing bath water. Last few years we get flooding down the Brisbane River that floods the city. What is different to historic trends is that it cycles from extreme to extreme.
