I was just there Saturday up by that metal light post! Used bread and caught a fat Carp and a Tilapia. If you’re out there too I know I’m doing something right. There’s a nice spillway off of 75th and Camelback with some huge carp, but you have to climb down the stairs to land them.

Let's go! been watching a lot of the old canal fishing videos as I started getting on the canal myself after finding out there is some monsters in there. Didn't expect to see a fresh video up! I've been having a lot of success at nighttime on the canals around 7-9pm.

Hey Jeff, I’m glad to see you’re fishing in my old hood. When I was a teenager many years ago, we used to waterski on that strip of canal where you’re at. Yeah Yum and dumb. Didn’t know any better. Sure wouldn’t attempt it now. Take care guy. Glad to see your back fishing.

It's a dust devil. They start from the ground and go up where a tornado starts from the sky and goes down. They are mostly harmless.

Glad to see you’re out fishing again. If I could ask you about the brand of your net. I have not seen many nets that come apart like that except for the European Carp nets. And it looks like you can not only pull the arms out of the block like you do, but the handle almost looks like it extends? Thanks for any input…

What crossroads of the canal are you fishing brother? Ive went up and down most of the westside part and you seem to have good luck at your spots. Also that old spot you used to fish it was a canal in what looked to be a crop field. Im assuming it was somewhere off the 101 towards the 10 is there anyway you can let me know how to get to that spot?

Hey Jeff, my last comment I mentioned that I used to water ski on that strip of the canal. I did forget to tell you a couple of things that was over 40 years ago behind a pick up truck being pulled by the truck. Pretty stupid huh.
