Aye man. I have a cool spot at the Gila river where you can catch plenty of fish over 5 pounds from a catfish and carp all the way to bass. You just have to be willing to walk a bit

For bluegills as bait I’d recommend circle hooks, fish gets its meal and you don’t risk a gut hook

I used to live (Love my Arizona) along Indian School and Osborn and each time they drained the canal to clean, it would be full of fish. Up to 10" in size. (Memories)

I’ve never tried frozen corn but I’ve had no problem getting the normal corn to stay on the hook. I imagine fresh corn would get more bites because most frozen stuff as far as bait goes doesn’t perform as well as fresh. Thank you for watching!

I’ve fished a lot of spots so I’m familiar with a lot of the stretches of water. I also check Fishbrain to see if people log catches there. But I will say, I’ve never seen a canal without fish in it so I’d you just try one out you’re bound to get something

😂😂 I feel that, the last spot I was at is the same way. If you make your way to the Gilbert/chandler area I would hit the consolidated canal. That’s the 3rd spot I hit in this video and it has tons of spillways, dams, and big fish.

I saw a dude walking away from the canal at Central and south of Dunlap with two good sized Flathead's he caught....I was disgusted and happy for him at the same time.

It’s a shame seeing flathead being kept but I understand. I personally wouldn’t eat fish out of an SRP canal but to each their own I suppose. Thank you for your comment 🙏
