El Estero lake is a beautiful place to chill, but a tough place to fish. I hooked a small bass on a crankbait last year but he shook loose before I could bank him, & I haven't even gotten a bite since. Never tried using bread though, thanks for the tip.

Yeah I can tell that place seems like it doesn't produce much unless it's stocked besides the fish play hard to get.

Caught 1 close to 16 lbs, using Frozen anchovies

I caught a couple of rock fish at the coast guard pier…I had a huge ling cod on the line, got it about 5 ft from the pier at it got off! Got some good bites on squid 👍🏽

I'm local, they stock it but they go to a dark area of the lake and herd there. And they eat pellets because they are farmed. Very hard to catch the trout. And there's so much trash down there it's most muck under the 3 ft. There's even a car in there from the 70s or 80s that they never removed.

be Careful using corn while fishing for carp and trout in the same spot DFG will hit you bruh. As to my knowledge per Punk ass warden if you throw corn you can only fish for carp
