Something so nice about fishing a big sandy beach, looked like you enjoyed it there, bet you were knackered when you got home after that drive though! Great vid again mate, a nice look at the rigs. Take care 😊👍👍

Hi Lincoln, thanks for watching - Great venue but finding sand everywhere , since I've got home. Satnav took me on an interesting trip home across country to the main A road, so many places, single track road and cars head on - Avoid in Summer I think. Best session for a while , might try Chesil later this month . All the best if you are out soon

That Porthcawl breakwater has no night lighting so torches are a must. Flat concrete but end of slabs need to be painted white for clear visibility as there's no hand rails. Rnli please take heed as now got gashed knee and bruised ribs. 8 guys fishing but sport was slow even in the dark and perfect conditions 😢😢

Thanks for watching - Sounds like Fishguard breakwater , where I learnt my trade 45 yrs ago !!

Never forget, Slapton sands was a venue for the rehearsal of the invasion of France with American forces being picked off by U boats during exercises there. There is still a lot of wreckage lying out there so if no fish you could possibly hook up with a tank😢😮😅

Hi Alan you ok pal, nice one for another vid to watch. Tunes sound good on my old woofa speakers. I was out same morning and it was tuff going on the humber, 3 bites and a 27cm flounder to save the day n put a big smile bk on my fizza. All the best from G.Y

Hi Carl, hope you're doing ok, thanks for watching. Yet to get a flounder on my channel , one for 2024. Lived in Humberside 1989-90 , fished Spurn point a couple of times - blanked as I remember !!

Another great one, thanks. Fishing in the dark seems to be more productive across the board would you say ?
@fishingat8 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching . For me it generally is the case that in darkness I catch more . Depends what you are after , so sight fish e.g. plaice , mackerel would be better in the day , less chance at night . In the Bristol Channel, the brown water (any time) lessens the day / night impact. On this trip, about 15 casts in the 'light' , no fish ... 20 casts in the dark , caught all my fish

Hi Alan, enjoy the videos. What song do you use in your intro it sounds familiar but i can't place it? Cheers

Nice video ,just a quick question where do you get the stop beads that are on your snoods cheers Martin
@fishingat8 ай бұрын
Hi , I use a bait stop by Inova , from the veals mail order site www.veals.co.uk/product/inova-snood-stop-x-15/. Thanks for watching . They are ok for 20 - 30 lb snoods , but thicker lines may rip them . Hopes this helps

Mumbles closed for maintenance once more and sea defence repairs. Aberavon beach very busy, surfers, swimmers and some great girls flaunting themselves and barberques galore. Fishing can be slow, Porthcawl the same so fished Penarth marina to get dogfish and blonde rays. Tight lines.
