This is the first time I have ever fished Slapton Sands, and I can tell you now I will be back!! I was joined by ‪@theblindangler1198‬ Wayne, this brother stefan and Ed (the bait guy) from eds baits
My first ever common smooth hounds weighting in at 5lb caught on a pulley pennel rig with whole Squid. Alot of other species caught in this one and thoroughly enjoyed this mark.
If your new to the channel please consider subscribing, liking and sharing the video with your friends and family.
I also have a lot of people that would like to donate to my channel as well to help towards bait and fuel etc which is amazing and I can use it to go to so many better marks for you guys!! So if you wanted to do that click my PayPal link, and thank you very much!!

Thank you all for watching and you support is amazing. I'm looking forward to seeing you all at the next one!!

Nice video Joe. That bullhuss was laying eggs, not passing fishing line. Awaiting the next.

Fantastic, a few people have told me this, so this is a huge spot for fish spawning, so I'll definately go back here. Thanks for watching

Morning Joe, Some very nice fish. A new PB for you and the Bull Huss’s were cool to see as well. Certainly a long journey for you from Essex but well worth it. Regarding the “ poor cod “ on your previous session it was nice to read how you can tell the difference between a poor cod & a pouting very useful info. Looking forward to watching the vids from your other two days down there. Take care & tight lines Nigel

I like how at the start of your films you put up information of the venue instead of talking about it , very good 👍🏻

To tell the difference between small spotted catsharks (reclassified from lesser spotted dogfish around 1908) and Nursehounds (also known as bull huss) have a look at the nasal flaps. On the lesser, though the fish may be bent back to expose a larger nasal cavity, the nasal flaps are rounded and tightly tucked. On the bull huss, the nasal flaps are much looser - without being bent back, which should be avoided - and there is a distinct point in the lower corner on the outside edge of both nostrils. Both species have teeth and, while the bull huss usually has large, dark spots, small spotted catsharks may occasionally have them too. In some areas, there are concentrations where lessers with larger spots are actually quite common.

And that is the problem in your hands there. Dogfish Dogfish Dogfish Dogfish nothing else gets a look in. I fished all around there. Or bullhuss. Same thing. When I was in Ireland it was either thornbacks or dogfish, however if you spun you get plenty of bass and sea trout . I like to eat the fish I catch.

they're all starry smoothies, DNA research has proved that common smoothies don't inhabit UK waters. You can't tell the difference by just looking at them anyway .....
