Use slow and moderate retrieve Noah. I've used this and consistently caught bigger fish. Yes, locating biting fish is essential for having a fast retrieve to covor tons of water. Once you find a spot we fish thought to find big fish. Lately for me I seen fish scattered its June so it's spawn season here up north. With that I've seen hundreds of bait fish in the shallow water and been trying to catch what I call big mama a 4plus 5 lb largemouth. It's so far the biggest large mouth I've seen in my river. Hoping there's more bigger fish. I'm taking a break from the river and hitting the local pond. Covored tons and tons of water in the river sadly only caught a small mouth and large mouth but both good fish. Large mouth was a hight 3 low 4. The small mouth almost 2 lbs

I haven't used worms that big but I've used the 10 inch mundos from googan, seems I have to let them bite like 2 or 3 times just to be able to hookset without the worm just flying right out of their mouth.. frustrating but just need some practice. Love the content, keep 'er coming!!

I’ve gotta say, I enjoy the content. Also, I noticed that you had quite a few spit the Eagle claw hook. I used to have the same issue until I switched to Gamakatsu and my hookup ratio went up a ton. Tight lines man.

That's all I use on my soft plastics is plumb Noah. I use plumb worms sanko and trick worms. On fluke I use Natural shad looks like a real baitfish. I use proline night crawler on the worms bass crush them. On hard plastic lures I use trophy bass by procure and bass slay them. I've fished at Night Noah, I've used procure on my lures I really don't have dark colors but because I use procure trophy bass bass slay them. I put procure on a wakebait and a smallie almost 2 lbs smoked it, it was amazing what a beautiful small mouth she was. 😊

I also use plumb colored creyfish with proline creyfish, or procure trophy bass and I get crushed. At night if you have a quality water based attractant like procure, bass will use there smell. They use lateral lines and smell to find their location sight too but when waters muddy or merky they use lateral lines and smell is a huge factor even in clear water.

How do you know as a fisherman when your line is getting bad, and you need to change it?

If using a baitcaster it won't cast as far and more birdnest from line wear. The line color will turn into the tint of the water in your reel. New line cast best
