It's time to trade up. The boat we have now is an absolute monster. Huge fish capacity, huge gas tank, over 500 horse power, and the thing drives like an overweight shopping cart. BUT, despite the troubles driving it, when it comes to fishing and making money it's an absolute beast. Upgraded we can haul 20,000kg of fish, and with the gas tank we have, we can now reach any place on the entire map. It's cod season as well, and we head down toward the ice flows for our absolute biggest and most expensive catch we've ever had yet!

Start with the little boat inherited from your grandfather, catch fish and earn money for upgrades as well as bigger and better boats. Enjoy the beautiful Barents Sea and make your fishing industry dreams come true.
Learn how to catch different kinds of fish with various fishing equipment on several different boats. Every method is easy to learn, but hard to master - time to show what you are made of!
Use officially licensed Scanmar equipment like door sensors and the TrawlEye to have complete control over your trawl. Upgrade it to make sure you get the biggest catch! But be sure to stay under your yearly fishing quotas, every step and every fishing run needs to be planned. 20 years of weather data recreate a realistic environment for the schools of fish in the Barents Sea, which move according to season and water temperature. It's up to you to keep track of everything.
Visit the harbor pub to hire crew members or accept missions. At the port you are also able to repair or upgrade your ships, get a loan from the bank or buy supplies and bait at the shop.
Freely explore an open world environment which recreates the stunning landscapes of northern Norway. Look for the best fishing zones with the help of your sonar, radar and GPS and catch yourself the biggest profit.

I watched a video about the ocean and saw a ship called Ramform-Titan. Build for solar mapping the ocean appearantly and even called the ugliest ship ever build because it misses the back part complety. Looks like the bigger version of the Vibeke Cathrin in this game.

becouse when you have a fishing boat under 15 meters the certificate for the vessel is cheaper

As Nova said, it's due to Norwegian fishing laws. The size of the ship is maximized while still keeping it barely under the cheaper certificate.

Food is cooked to replenish the green stamina bars of your crew, with that guy you'll be giving him food breaks a lot! Its worth getting a shitty person with good stamina and train them up, they are cheaper to hire/cheaper wages too.

Grey, do the boats trade in for full value when you upgrade to a new one? If they don't, since the insurance pays off the full value, might it not be better to have a little "accident" that just happens to sink your ship? ;) Plus it would be fun to watch one actually sink. dude, nice video, like it, but i have some tips to share. 1. if you sell fish at hammerfest centrum you should wait until 10 and sell then. you will make up to 50.000 more krones than if you sold outside the markettime. i usually get 250.000 per load. you can test it by yourself. just dock, save the game and sell. then reload the game and wait until 10 and sell again. you will see you earn way more money. 2. only set 2 net at a time. wait until you get the net back and then place another 2. this way you always have fully loaded boat and you never drive empty to the haven. 3. if you have around 100.000 krones (because of refueling) go and drive to every harbour. it will cost some time (about 2-3 hrs) but you will get a ton of miles on your card. 4. find out what kind of fish sells the best and go after them. make some deliverys, catch the most wanted fish and you will get an insanly amount of money. have fun, keep going. im waiting for the next video and in the meantime im out fishing my butt off^^

Yeah, Gray, Net Hauling requires 2 people, so if you have 2 employees doing it, they take care of it for you. You can give your employees burgers for stamina. How disappoinging... you saved it, and said "for Science!" I think you should have gone ahead and sunk it, for kicks, then load.

Hy Gray. On that boat u can buy side thrusters. Will help u out on handling. And radar will help u discover larger areas. Moving the workers around while u are fast travel will help u too, like staking and resting . For me I always haul the net and gut the fish . Even try a faster swing at gutting ... might help. Keep up the series. Have fun

Gray As fun as Net fishing is You will lose a lot of your quota in over catch. It seems it might be better to Line fish targeted species till your quota is capped on the boat and then net fish Pollock and Haddock after. Currently grinding the Kr for the Lunar Bow.

One thing I'm curious about- what sorts of gutting ratings are you getting from the machine? My crewmate with level 15 in hand gutting gets 2/3 5-star and 1/3 4-star ratings, only gets a 3 maybe once a week, *never* gets anything lower and guts 105 fish per hour, so I'm pretty loath to replace her with a machine unless it's comparable. Also, *feed* *your* *crew* *burgers* *to* *get* *their* *stamina* *back* *faster*

the long line fishing is very useful if you are after a single type of fish so u can have almost a full cargo of cod if you use the correct bait it is very useful especially now that you can have a 10000 hook line. also you can long line fish as well as netfish at the same time you just need to change at the docks it doesn't get rid of the nets or lines that are already in the water

Gray it looks like if you stack your first catch, you could haul in and gut a second net but not stack them. when you go into port you sell your stacked fish and then stack the set of fish that is in the gutted section, essentially tripling your profits in one go!!
