Love that Pflueger President open face spinning reel that you are using. I own two of those reels in different sizes. They are a perfect fit for the two rods that I pair with them. Spool axis lines up perfectly with the rod guides plus the attached reel gives perfect balance to the rod when holding it.

They are such great reels!! Definitely my all time favorite!!! I add a weighted bead on each pounder to act like a small split shot. Just helps get it out there more

New intro is very cool. Are we going to see some more burbot fishing this year. You are one of the my favorite outdoor channels. Good luck rest of the outdoor season.
@LTOutdoors15 Жыл бұрын
Thank you so much Fred! I appreciate your kindness!! I'm definitely doing more burbot fishing this season. I won't be running as big of a trapline so I can get more fishing and hunting in this season🙌
@SquatchMan123 Жыл бұрын
Absolutely love the trappings, I trapped myself in my younger years and still love seeing videos on it.

It's one of my favorite things to do. Really makes it hard to have time to fish or hunt though. I figured I could ease up on it for the season to allow for more content. We'll see though sometimes I get into trapping mode and can't break it lol

Went out local township pond few days ago did pretty good on pounders. Went today not so good, a front went through yesterday. That’s fishin!!

You caught some really nice panfish and the bass were really nice nobody can deny your lures work. Also LT I remember you having another dog too back in the winter whatever happened to that one never see it your videos?
@LTOutdoors15 Жыл бұрын
Thanks Gary!!! They definitely work great. Ruby is my hound and my best friend. Having 2 guys in a 14 foot boat with a pup is tough enough so I can't have both when its rick and I. I tried filming a solo trip with both my girls last week but I didn't get enough fish for a video. Rick's getting ready to go back to work so I'll have them both out with me every chance I can

Love camping on that lake, didn't know there were such big fish! Is it better further from the dam I assume?
@LTOutdoors15 Жыл бұрын
Absolutely!!! I feel like all the ponds are better the further up you go. Seems to get more wild😊🙌
@kronkwithagun6695 Жыл бұрын
@@LTOutdoors15 nice, I'll have to try it. Have caught some real decent rock bass down there, as well as smallies and even a pretty big dogfish.

For sure, it definitely has a great mixed fishery! The section below cooke dam going into Foote pond is beautiful too

So, I assume you are just reeling that Pig Pounder (or Pani Pounder) through weeds with no bobber on the line? I also assume that there are no split shot weights on the line. Just the weight of the lure components is keeping the line down, correct?
@LTOutdoors15 Жыл бұрын
Yes, I talk about it in the video just slow retrieve. Only fast enough to keep off bottom or above weeds. They're basically weedless though. I throw them in lots of heavy structure.

Any places around where you can catch giant rock bass like master angler sized rock bass?
@LTOutdoors15 Жыл бұрын
Not anymore, now that they raised it this season I can't get close
