@BluePiggy97 I always say people who don't like them just haven't taken the time to figure out how to clean 'em!

Man im jealous! Wish i had a KZbin fishing channel. We've been going to eagle lake for 20 yrs, we were there end of june, caught 6 muskies this year, most ever. Biggest was 51"

Nice mixed bag and great way to make the best of a mediocre day. Usually our first afternoon on Eagle we catch those pike and pickle them. Great with an adult beverage by the end of the week. Thanks for sharing the fun.

@edwardsedlak4303 It's been a long time since I've pickled pike but I always enjoy having them that way too!

I agree with you completely that pike are better tasting than walleye! They are a little more work to de-bone but worth the effort!

@johnkulhawy472 Absolutely! Pike are amazing table fare!

Have you ever tried using the large size rattlebaits for muskies, burn them like a bucktail, or jig them like a Medusa? I tried one on Mille Lacs years ago and had a follow from a giant. Never had the chance to try them again. They just might be that something different that the fish haven't seen and others don't throw.

@thelonesomefisherman7425 I've used some slightly larger rattle baits down on Cave Run years ago to get a few fish. A friend of ours was fishing this spot on Eagle a few weeks after we were there and he got a 50.5" on a rattle bait!
