Fishing East Tennessee's Boone Lake for Stripers and Brown Trout

East Tennessee is littered with reservoirs and rivers stacked with brown trout and striped bass, but few rival the winter and spring fishery on Boone Lake near Johnson City, Tennessee. Armed with Fire Brine gizzard shad strips fished behind hoochies and Liquid Krill coated spoons we teamed up with local Charlie Parker and convinced a few quality fish to bite even under poor conditions as you'll see in this episode of Pautzke Outdoors.

Hey brother! I am from East Tennessee and live about 20 mins from Boone Lake. On June 26th, 1998 I caught a 6 lb 2 oz Spotted Bass with my Dad from the shoreline with an all white spinner bait. My dad had it mounted but we never put it in the record books. I was 6 years old and I thought I was snagged at first. My dad seen my line moving from left to right and about freaked out when he seen that beast flail out of the water. I reeled him up close and my Dad went in waist deep and picked him up by the lip. I'm also a fellow KZbin content creator so I'd love to join up for some fishing if your ever in the area again. My dad and Iknow some great trout spots around here. HO LEE FOOK they are working on the local dam here in Johnson City, it has a leak and won’t be fixed until 2022, they drain the lake during the winter months also

Yea good fishing BUT.Check the history of Boone DONT EAT ANY fish out of that lake.
