Try Roseau River where it meets Hwy 59. There's a park there. Go in spring and early summer. You'll catch pretty much everything native to Manitoba. Watch out for Ninja Turtles which will steal your fish.

The pits holds small mouth and large moth that one’s jumping might be one of them, I am unaware that it is stocked with trout. Best thing for the pits is a drop shot rig with a small hook and a grub or worm. When you fish Reynolds the ponds all hold trout was stocked this may ish. In line spinner and small spoons works good and worm on bottom or float works good too. But the ponds are a hit or miss.

Thank you for the informative feedback, Being from Ireland I am still learning to fish here. Looking forward to getting back out to Reynolds Ponds and trying the shot rig. We had (well my daughter) better luck at Reynolds on the last video using the worn and smaller hook with float. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qmHLlo1um6l2qa8

Fish jumping are typically carp or sometimes trout. If that lake is stocked with trout you would need a very light line and smaller lure.

I believe it is stocked with trout, I kind of knew it I should have switched up but it also has large and small mouth bass...and that is what I was hoping to catch. Being from Ireland I am still learning the waters here in Manitoba and only really started fishing them. It was an adventure nonetheless and thank you for taking the time to provide some good advice!!!
