On land to which my family are shareholders the trust decided to plant millions of pine trees maybe three years ago for a carbon credit scheme and logging in 30 years. They chose pines even tho they had the option to plant native trees. This is very sad bcuz where they’ve planted pinus radiata used to stand kauri forest when my grandmother was kid just 50 years ago. Kauri forest are second only to the giant seqoia forest in capacity to sequester CO2. A kauri tree can live over 2000 years but tragically most of the biggest were felled during the settlement period in the 18 and 19 hundreds. Its indigenous land but unfortunately the main objective of the trustees is to bring income to the community, which i support but pines destroy the land, in NZ they’re notorious for causing erosion, reducing groundwater, fire hazard, the slash can end up in waterways and in the harbour which is hazardous and they are practically inhospitable to native wildlife

Great program. Mi country Colombia , one of the eight counties surrounding Amazon Rainforest has been working in different activities to support the collapse of the climate. One of them is approved article 8J the Governance to Indigenous Territorios. So, the CRIC has many successful activities in order to survive stopping Decarbonization & Denarcotization
