Fishing Fleet En Route To Iceland (1963)

I´m Icelandic, born in the Vestman Islands. It is intresting seeing a glimpse of the Surtsey eruption. I remember that vividly, I was 8 at the time. I later worked on fishing boats and trawlers. I´s fun seeing the crew mending the trawls, also part of my memories. Billi.

This video in conjunction with the music I was listening too made my eyes a bit watery. The big steam trawlers and times like those out on the water are gone and I was brought into the world to late to experience them.
