Thanks so much, John. That is high praise and I sometimes pinch myself when I read something like that. Obviously only do this in my spare time and set out as a bit of an experiment a year or so ago, so to think it’s now something that can provide people like you with some anticipated entertainment is far more than I ever dreamed of doing. Ive got to say what a great guy Andy is and a pleasure to meet and fish with him. Thanks to everyone for wishing him a continued recovery.He is a great lad with a fantastic sense of humour. I went home with my tail firmly between my legs after getting absolutley chip shopped (battered) by two northerners. Even Jen my better half suggested coming over to show me how to do it. I think that got the biggest laugh of the day when I told the lads. Great video John and the Thames is coming right for some chub fishing. It's clear to see the love and concern you have for your old mate. Shame the rivers were un fishable. The fishing was very good with one or two lumps. Mate, we need to swap 🍰 Mind you, I’m still reeling from the amount of food we managed to pack away in four days. Really kind comment about it being one of the best vids - I’m never sure what will fly or be appreciated and just make it up as I go along 😄 I very nearly used something from the summer (a few up my sleeve), but though that at least one Octoberfest deserved capturing and sharing with this brilliant community. That’s tough mate. I thought it could happen with Andy at one point! And I recount my own pain and darkness after losing my granddad - my best fishing mate - in my book. I know it will never be quite the same, but I hope you can find one or more fishing pals again. Never too late. There is a relatively new member of the tiny club I’m still a member of, up near Sheffield, who joined us a few years back… When I first got talking to him, he explained he’d lost his fishing soul mate and they used to be carpers. Said he’d had to give it up, it was so painful, but he’d been talked into trying match fishing and buying some new gear… Now he’s the life and soul of the club 🎣🐟❤️‍🩹
