Great sesh! I avoid washing fillets all together. Just pat with paper towel prior to cooking.

I agree with washing in salt water but also try to wash as little as possible. Fresh water or water of any kind kills flavour, a little bit of salt helps preserve the meat so salt water if you have to wash. With filiting i just gut clean as possible and cook whole. If i were to fillet i would take the rib cage with it, there pretty big bones and easy to avoid or you can pliers and pull them. The complete no bone fillet wastes a little to much meat on a snapper i think.

Great work lads 👌 👌 👌. Cracker fish, great conditions. Was thinking with fishing plastics the boat stays a lot cleaner, then you filleted the fish on the deck 😂, priceless.

Nice fishing and great fishing show. I think your fishing friend Jack needs to stop winding and jerking his rod when he is bringing in his fish, or start using circle hooks.

Can you process your catch on the boat where you are? Thought you had to have them whole?

I ve spoken to fisheries at the ramp and they said once I’ve tied up to the jetty they are happy I’ve “landed” it’s no different to using a filleting bench in the car park. I still had the frames so if they want to measure or id would be no prob. I will confirm next I see them as I’d hate to be in the wrong👍 Cheers

Very nice, great drone footage too. P. S. Don't let Jack near the controller. Hehe I'm an ex-work buddy.

So the soft plastic just sits on bottom or is it suspended off bottom?

I use 1/8 heads the sink rate is super slow, try to keep em falling mid water. Check out a few vids back I run through it all👍

Wicked vids mate! learnt a lot in regards to soft plastics and this style of fishing. Usually opt for bait out off of Hillary's etc. but these plastics look deadly! Any preference on the scent for plastics? have read about Sfactor but wondering if theres any other options that are good value for $$. Cheers fellas and tight lines!

Also that filleting technique is mint mate, have tried various styles on the snapper but that looks much easier.

It was flat but a big swell was rolling through. Stabilisation on the go pro always irons out the bumps.
