Hey if it's not broken don't fix it. You can cast either side. It's better for me to always side-arm cast. 1. No extra splash spooking fish. 2. You don't get caught on overhanging trees. I always side-arm cast that way. It goes a country mile 😊

​@Ben Groovie, also, if you use your right hand to cast, you can tuck your left arm under your right arm to do a backhand cast. Pull left arm hand into forearm, and you can get a descent cast.

I miss the videos from about 5 or 6 years ago where you used to go to different ponds/rivers/lakes all over the state. Not knowing whether you would catch anything at all was more appealing to me and made it that more enjoyable when you landed a monster or numbers. That's cool, I've tried chatterbait and texas rig an gotten the ability to use the techniques well. Sadly, I've caught no fish using a chatterbait or Texas rig. I've caught fish on, swim jigs football head jigs, jerkbaits light wire hook and bobber, standard J hook with split shot weight, a kvd splash a buzzbait a shakey head a spook and a dropshot. A bucktail, Hopefully I'll catch some on a chatterbait and texas rig. I haven't used squarebill yet, next time I go I'll use one. Specially when it gets hotter and bass are in cover. Oh I've also caught bass on a punching 👊 rig 😊
