Actually, the daily limit is 20kg, not 100 herring. The 100 limit is for mackerel.

No bait. That is a sabiki rig. It has several little "feather" lures on it. Usually you can find the rigs for $2-3 each or you can even make them yourself.

Looks fun, here is WA state they won't even allow you to jig for them in certain places - places where they are most likely to be. Will travel to Canada instead
