I just bought a boat last week and I'm taking my son out to Rodman for the first time off a friends advice. I'm so glad I checked KZbin and found your channel. Subscribe right away. Not sure if I missed it, I heard you say use heavy tackle, but can you tell me the line size and rod type you like best for this method? Thank you and the video is great. Can't wait to see more.

Dang buddy. I keep saying it but you have a talent for catching BIG fish. I don't do much fresh water fishing but my dad is a big bass fisherman. He literally just got a tv capable of getting KZbin. He had never used it before. He has only three channels he subscribed to... Mine of course...lol, Hickock 45 (he also loves his guns), and The North Florida Angler! He really enjoys your channel. Keep those great videos coming. Tight Lines my friend 👍

How much do you charge to guide a bass fishing trip?
@willmallory90852 жыл бұрын
Excellent question!

I charge 500.00 a day for one or two fishermen plus the cost of wild shiners.
@Xray48582 жыл бұрын
@@TheNorthFloridaAngler hi thanks for your response. One more question if you do not mind sharing. Do you cast net your shiners from the areas you fish? Matching the larger size roach shiners.

@@Xray4858 No I catch them where ever I can get them!

Really enjoyed your video but I was wondering if you ever hook these fish deep. They run for so long before you set the hook. Noticed you were using J hooks. Ever try circle hooks?
@TheNorthFloridaAngler2 жыл бұрын
Sometimes! But I've found out if you leave the hook in and the fish isn't bleeding too bad they have about a 70 % survival rate. That's why I use only bronze hooks. In a few weeks the bass'es digestive system will cause these hooks to crumble down to nothing where they will be spit out or passed. I've caught many of these bass multiple times months later and they seem to be doing well! As for the circle hooks I've experimented with them and find they don't hook the bass quite as well and they will still swallow them sometimes!

What brand of trolling motor is that? Have you had it long? How would you rate it?
@TheNorthFloridaAngler2 жыл бұрын
It's a Min Kota Terrova spot lock trolling motor. I've had it for about a year and a half now and I haven't been super happy with it! It works great when its running but have had a lot of problems with it! Fuses keep burning out on it and wires will short out! Also the batteries start to go dead pretty quick when you use it in heavy current!
