Fishing for PIER GIANTS with LIVE BAITFISH (Saltwater Fishing)

I take you guys with me to go fishing UNDER the saltwater pier for whatever bites! This was my first time throwing a cast net from the kayak to see if we can get some bait to go fishing with. We then tossed the baitfish under the pier to see if anything will eat it! There can be so many different fish that we could possibly catch in the saltwater and at a fishing pier like this! Will we finally catch a Pier GIANT? I didn't expect this to happen..

When you throw a net on menhaden or what you call “bunker” they dive straight down so you need to let your net sink straight to the bottom and flounder love them almost every tournament we have is one with a 10+ lb flounder caught on menhaden

You should tied you bait bucket to the side of the yak to get fish water with oxygen flow so they don't die on you is you don't have a bubbler

Try tightening your drag when you are fishing for flounder, their mouths are pretty tough so when I fish for them I typically tighten my drag to bury that hook in better. Love your videos keep it up!

Ok so the castnet its a lighter one it’s supposed to be for shallow water the bigger and heavier are made for deeper water and bigger circles. Baitfish are Very fast and can beat the cast-net they swim under it as it falls and or make it out of the circle. Keep up the great work these are awesome videos

(That’s probably enough) is the worst thing you can say about bait. Every fisherman knows. There’s no such thing as too much bait because before you know it the dozen you kept half get ripped off the hook. Other half some get chomped in half and then catch maybe 4 fish out of the dozen bait you went through. (Metaphorically speaking) get a drag behind bait bucket. Keep as much as you want and they will stay alive no matter how many are in the bucket
