Hi Martin - discovered you via your Solo Titan review from 3 years ago. I was immediately hooked and you're bringing back very fond memories of visiting your beautiful country when I was still in the US Navy. The landscapes are gorgeous, and the Norwegians we met were always wonderful, sweet people. Keep up the great work - enjoy your channel - skol!

Hi Savid. I have never visited Norway but Martin's videos really make me determined to go soon. There country seems to be so varied from the lakes and forests in Martin's presentations to the wilds of the Hardangervidda. I believe that the Scandinavian people respect nature a lot whereas here in the UK there is a general disregard for the countryside. I guarantee that on Monday morning there will be beer cans, remains of bbqs and McDonalds wrappers littering the place. Sorry for the rant but seeing the beauty of Norway makes me so angry that the same respect isn't shown here!!

We have all kinds of people here, just as the rest of the world. I guess most people that spend time in nature around here take care and try not to leave to much rubbish when they leave a beautiful spot. We have a lot of variety. Norway is a long country. Thanks for watching :) - Martin

Hej Martin. Another wonderful video. Like many boys of my age I started fishing whilst at school. However, I graduated to the mountains whilst at university and have remained a "mountain man" ever since. Your recent fishing videos make me realise what I have missed. Obviously it is enjoyable and relaxing but also a way of accessing the beautiful Norwegian countryside. I particularly enjoyed the audio. the sounds from the lakes and the boat on the water were really evocative. Perfect.

I have been missing the silence of the wilderness for many years. It was a good thing for me to move back to where I grew up, and spend more time in the woods. I am still trying to work out how to make these videos. Not the easiest thing when I do everything myself. Glad to hear that you enjoy the video :) - Martin

I especially like the addition of the aerial views to get an idea of the areas you fish. I've never tried Pike fishing as there aren't any in my area, and looking at the size of lures you use, I don't have anything even close to that size to begin with.

It is a lot of fun to fly the drone. Pike eat everything they can see. I have got a lot of pike on small Perch lures :) - Martin

Do you ever use smaller spoons and plastic baits? I notice that the big baits make quite the splash, which I know will spook trout. I don't know how Pike behave as I'm from NZ.
@NorwegianWoods4 жыл бұрын
I use smaller spoons and spinner also. I don't think the pike is as easily spooked like the trout. They are the top of the food chain. When they hear a splash, they often think it is something they can eat. When using smaller lures I need to bring a lighter rod. Thanks for watching :) - Martin

The fishing has gotten bad all over the world. The rain is toxic from all carbon emissions that is killing most all of the plant foliage on the bottom of most lakes, rivers streams. They are looking more like deserts with little food for the fish to eat or raise their young. I see it as a scuba diver,but otherwise out of sight and mind to most.! Very Sad but glad most all of the jets are grounded. A little hope that may be to little to late moving forward.! They are the last of their kind I'm afraid....!

We have to solve a lot of things in the years to come. For some reason I do think nature has many ways to balance itself. I think that in the long run things will be ok. Thanks for watching my video - Martin
