That salty slay ride though. Redfish is my all time favorite to eat and fight. It is a amazing fish and a blessing everytime we meet.

I NEVER hit saltwater without a popping cork ready to go,..only difference I use Cajun Thunder & a Zman bait under it. GREAT VIDEO..I need to check out that Bomber cork

That was a stud! Those slay rides are fun! I can count on 1 hand how many times a popping cork worked for me lol. With those tips I’ll have to give it another try. Great video! 👍

Thanks bro! Yeah they work but like anything there’s a time and a place for it. I cut my teeth with artificials on that rig and just expanded from there.

I love the popping corks in the shallows when the shrimp move in. I've got an 8.5 foot rod for launching those things out and use braid for the snapping pop (no stretch). I also use that bomber popping cork for the same reason, chugging. One note, I've lost a few of those corks when the crimp on the top ultimately fails, usually after a few trips.
@southernsalt4 жыл бұрын
Dang bro I’ve never seen the crimp break on em. I don’t use them often but they get the job done when the bite is tough.

Dude -- you slammed that fish!!!!! way to go man! I haven't had much luck using the artificial shrimp with popping cork combo as compared to using live shrimp. Have you fished at the marsh area off Loui's bait camp and hand any luck with artificial shrimp?
@southernsalt3 жыл бұрын
Thanks man. I haven’t launched up there at all but if there’s redfish in the area they should eat this combination.

This is definitely the info I needed! Thanks very much for a great info-packed video-and what a fish you caught, wow!! I’ve never been successful with a popping cork but I’m going to try your tips. (PS hey any chance you could get an external mic or wind screen for your camera?)

Thank you glad it was informative. I actually got a mic and wind screen right after this video. Not sure it helps a whole lot though with as much wind we’ve been getting.
