Excellent contextual demo. This could help move units. Got a Thomann affiliate link? Don't be ashamed to earn a bit of cash from the great service you provide the community

Awesome jam! I see that you have a gray midi adapter connected to the Labyrinth, is that the Elektron CA-3 MIDI Adapter? Can I use one of those to sync the tempo from my audio interface and DAW? How does your setup look like? Thanks, keep up the great work!
@YanCook4 ай бұрын
Thanks! It is Elektron MIDI adapter. Yes, I think you can, if your audio interface has MIDI out. In my case, Ableton is my master clock then Syntakt receives MIDI via USB and sends MIDI out to Labyrinth.

nice, like to ask how to make sequencer run out of tempo?
@YanCook15 күн бұрын
Just unplug midi in and use the tempo knob. If that's what you meant))
@qtyqty415 күн бұрын
@@YanCook thanks for your reply, maybe i just means sequencing can be adjust in micro timing or without quantizing?.

Hello! how are you? I have a question, how did you set the tempo and play/pause by connecting the midi? I'm making the connection but I can't control the tempo and play/pause, thanks.
@YanCook15 күн бұрын
Hey Just make sure the thing you're using to send midi out sends both clock and transport (play/stop) data.
@lucasdupont225213 күн бұрын
@@YanCook Hello Yan Cook, thank you for the response, I have connected it through midi out and configured it in ableton, however it does not start on time and play/pause does not work either, do you have a guide?

A question Yan, don't you have latency when passing laberynth through ableton to synchronize beats and play with it in real time? compensation in some way? Maximum respect 🙌

Thanks for another great video! Some people say the build quality is not as good as the others. Since you have DFAM and Subharmonicon, would you be able to tell if it's true?
@YanCook4 ай бұрын
@@tatsuishikawa6900 Thanks! The build quality is very good, I think, not different from DFAM, although Subharmonicon has slightly different finish, more smooth, and nicer buttons, which I like better.

awesome!!! question... is it possible to do something like that with only Ableton... I mean create sequences like that on the fly? thx so much
@internalreality4 ай бұрын
Of course its possible, youll just have to learn stuff
@alexfr8114 ай бұрын
@@internalreality im actually trying to figure out how to play completely live with all midi channels/ instrument racks in Ableton, just as if I were playing modular. Everybody suggests using audio clips instead of midi clips, but the sound quality is not quite there and if you would like to manipulate sound on the fly its just not the same… any help would be much appreciated and if you made a video on how to do that, thatd be awesome!! Thx so much
@postmanpats4 ай бұрын
@@alexfr811 Not sure what you mean with audio clips instead of midi, or how those are related to sound quality. But there's a ton of M4L sequencers you could use to manipulate sequences live. MDD Snake is fun, or you could try the classic ML-185 sequencer and map the knobs to a midi controller.
@alexfr8114 ай бұрын
@@postmanpats yeah, let me explain myself. What Id like to achive is to have a full live set with say 20 full patterns just the way modular guys do it, and be able to improvise across them. However i dont wanna use audio channels but midi channels with my instrument racks and all that, just to emulate having modular but all inside Ableton. My problem with audio clips intead of midi clips is that when for example you use a filter cutoff the sound quality is not the same . All harmonics and sound richness is gone. See what I mean?… thx man for your kind response
@YanCook4 ай бұрын
Totally possible! There are generative tools in Ableton and a lot more for M4L :)

I work at Google, found this interesting. However don’t fall for the mistake of thinking tech companies are entities capable of behaving in any other way than the market demands them to

Complete disappointment in possible sequences and sounds, not techno but BLIP BLOP teletubies sounds. Only thing techno is reverb and effects. DFAM is 100% better. Will pass this one. Thx for showing it.
