Have tried the thinking anglers curved aligners for the withy pool rig? They look perfect for it instead of faffing about with shrink tube.

I haven't tried them mate I prefer to shape the upright section exactly how I want it 👌

have you tried using flying back leads to pin the line down a bit further back. that has reduced the liners for me when fishing over an uneven bottom

Good shout that mate flying back leads can be great the only problem with crays around is if the line is pinned to the bottom they can run into it and damage it 👍

Try back leads if crays was around you’d definitely know defo fish banging the lines

I've done that in the past the trouble is the crays nip the line if its tight to the bottom 👍

One of my syndicates Lee valley close to where u was I always backlead never had a problem with crays touching the line u obviously can’t use backleads on every lake really weedy etc good luck anyway Simon 🤙🏻

I did have my suspicions about this mate as I'd had several liners etc. I think if I'd had time I would definitely have fished shorter but you have to start somewhere on a session I guess. It was really weedy close in but I suppose there would have been fishable areas🤔
