Fishing Frenzy at the Port of Cape Town Open Day!!!

We use to fish the long wall by the helicopter launch area. That long wall is where the kingklip, hake, big cob, really decent gurnards, big hotties and other species was caught. The depth atthe end of the wall is insanely deep. They must try and have 1 of the future events on that wall. It will be epic

There is no specific dates... and only 120 people are allowed in most being staff

The last event catered for 200 people & only about 10% of the fishermen were staff.

I'm not finding the information online. Are you not allowed to fish at the port from the walls at all outside of the days they specify?

You do not need to go to the Port to show how to set up tackle and bait,which is taking longer than the fishing.

40 Years ago we used to go fishing there at night. The biggest Hake I caught was 6.4 kg. Silstar 12 foot rod and Penn 500. I was 25 years old then.
