One thing you can do when fishing a rocky bulkhead like that is keep a piece of old plywood about 24" x 48" with a short length of line tied to it. Lay it on the rocks like a ramp and you can easily pull the fish from the water without them beating themselves up on the rocks. Helps protect fish you'll be releasing. LOVE your channel, Steven!

Reminds me when I would wake up at 2 or 3 am on vacation with my dad (who was a professional blue crab fisherman) - sit on the boat dock ( 50 yards out froml home) with a piece of shrimp and catch them red fishes, croakers, spots and whatnot - one of the other (releases them all.. I was just interested in the action).. with the light shining on the water they were all over the place !

WOW what a blast that would be, it’s much harder for me to get out because of my health up here in Michigan, But having that in your backyard would be a dream come true, not only that I’ve never fished saltwater even though I’ve been around it a little so it’s definitely one of my bucket list, I’ve been to Alabama north of you several times at lake Gunnersville fishing bass tournaments That I qualified in to go there in several different tournament circuits for they’re Classics Championship. But a few years back my brother-in-law and me we’re hired by FEMA to move huge generators from location to location starting with hurricane Harvey and we worked all of the hurricanes from Harvey to date, to get generators two ravaged locations to get power back up For cities so that their emergency services and shelters would be running as fast as possible and the public would have a place to take refuge in. Even military bases would fall victim, as we were Close to finishing with Harvey Irma hit the keys and in a blink of an eye we were on our way nonstop to the Naval base in Key West so they could restore power because even their back up was knocked out from the hurricane. I will say being a northern boy I was just blown away by the devastation of a hurricane but after I seen what happened in the keys It hurt me pretty bad because I was The first one to run all the way out and from Islamirada out was slow going because it was The furthest out that the National Guard got to buy the time we got there and on every key the road was impassable because of the debris which consisted of hundreds of boats from skiffs to yachts cars jetSki’s parts of homes even crab and lobster by the thousands, The other issue was crossways because the residence parked their cars on the side entrances of every bridge because it’s the highest points out there but that didn’t matter because the surge was so high along with F4 winds it washed a lot of the cars away but many that weren’t washed away we’re left on the road and many more carried out onto the bridge because of the surge and wind. So from Islamirada out was a lot of stop and go because our escort was 2 huge front end loaders pushing all of those boats cars and debris to the side of the road cutting us a path to get to the Naval base And behind us was a convoy of emergency vehicles Hopscotching their way to set up on each key to start with recovery and aid. 😢😢 man I seen some gut wrenching things but at the same time we got so many hugs and thank you’s from all the people out there and even back on the mainland, because fema had A designated hotel at the entrance to the keys where Workers could sleep But after our job was done and we made it back in those places were full because of all the contractors that were just getting there and FEMA puts up All of the locals hotels now so there was nowhere to stay so we drove to Fort Myers because I have an old from there and fortunately they just got their power on but she said nothing was open but she would make some calls and to our amazement a small Beachside motel put us in a room and the restaurant/bar across the street made us dinner and didn’t charge us a dime while thanking us the whole time, It just brought tears to your eyes and is the perfect of how people come together during tragedies even if they don’t know each other they’re like brothers and sisters, these are the moments I’ll never forget 😢 all because we were blessed to be noticed by FEMA in Rockport Texas for hauling in a new park model for a husband and wife that lost everything during Harvey then we hired two other trucks to bring down shower and toilet units from Ohio to go to the Ford Center where the national guard set up base camp and just like that we’re hauling for FEMA all through the Gulf states during disasters, We had no idea the impact this little jobs would have on our lives in the next few years because we’re no one special just every day guys, But god it’s been an absolute honor to be there for these people. 🙏 Lol wow did I go way off track, I was saying that saltwater fishing was on my bucket list because here in the last few years I’ve been around it especially through the keys just drooling but never had the chance to fish because of what I was doing, It was a go go go eat well you’re going try to sleep while you’re going and the only time you stopped to stretch and get a breath of fresh air was when we were filling the tanks 😅 I am a fishing freak and have done it ever since I can remember I even make and sell my own lures for bass walleye and Crappie and some flies for salmon and steelhead, so I know a thing or two about freshwater so that makes me even Jones more to salt water fish. 😁 But until then living here in Michigan I’ll just keep watching you guys, keep up the great work man And accountant it rocks because you’re one of the few that show people how to do it and what to do it with instead of just fishing. And when I get to the saltwater to finally fish like here in freshwater I like to fish for a lot of different species and I would like to do the same in saltwater but I really want to fish For tuna and the yellow fin is part of my bucket list. 🙂
