I’m an avid bass fisherman from Dallas Im currently in Galveston for 3 more days and I’d like to try this Anywhere I can rent a set up ? What do you recommend I get and what time to fish this time a year and where ? Rod set up Line Hooks Lures ? Thank you in advance 😊
@MDLRFishing3 ай бұрын
A medium or medium light spinning rod at 6.5 or 7’ in length. A 2500 to 4000 spinning reel. 20 lb braid and a 20 lb fluoro leader. Use a popping cork with live shrimp. I recommend a size 2 mosquito hook, or a size 12 treble hook, or a 2/0 offset circle hook.

I like how you act as if you know that your statement is correct. I understand what you saw but you're completely wrong about the fish becoming trapped. Have you personally ever stepped foot on any of the rock jetties in Galveston? Do you know what high tide and low tide means? In the case that the fish can't escape through the cracks it will become food for the crabs. So technically no waste there. Don't comment on things that you do not understand. Good way to make yourself look like a fool. Whenever I read your comment, I told myself, "what a fool". ... I can assure you though, since you're so worried about the fish, that it was not trapped in those rocks and no harm was done to the wildlife.

@@MDLRFishing I appreciate that. I don't have a kayak and I live in Austin so I don't get down there as often as I'd like. I have a boat and while I like the kayak videos and the catches you make, I can't get my boat in there. I've been to that area your fishing right now in my boat. Man it's deep, 40", further down like by that range marker and further towards the Coast Guard station and I mean really close to the bank it's deep. Sure wish you could drive your car around to the channel side of East beach. Growing up we used to go crabbing there. Oh and your crabbing with a fishing pole was awesome. Now why didn't I ever think of that??? Keep it up!
