Really want to give this a go. You captured the essence and beauty of Fraser and what it’s like to share those moments with your sons. Love it!

Thank you for sharing. From Minnesota USA, 10,000 freshwater lakes are frozen. 10°F, snowy, and windy. Very relaxing, today's moment of zen

Always love your vids Peter. I like how you actually give useful info about the locations. The new boat looks great and would be good to hear more about that in the future. 👍🏽

Thank you Peter, some stunning footage there especially the drone shots of the whales. I made the mistake of assuming that we would get some lee in a southeaster coming from Roonies to Urangan, with wind over tide we took a pasting even in a 28 foot Blackwatch. Happy New Year, Roger

Hug the beach, it gets lumpy if you stay wide as you discovered. Thanks for watching!

Those small tailor if they are legal make good Mackerel baits live or dead. Though cigua is always a worry with Spanish up in the bay.

Great video Peter, I’m interested in your thoughts on the 635 ht. I’ve just sold my 685 ex it was an awesome boat , I needed to downsize with my kids all moved out . I have been looking at the 635
@ProfessionalBoatCareКүн бұрын
Ive always thought there is a point where a trailer boat gets too big for many reasons but mainly ease of towing. I didn’t want to buy a larger towing vehicle and I’m mostly solo boating so the 635 is proving to be ideal. The down side is the bunk being a few inches too short - but luckily I’m short so it works haha!

Thanks for another great video. Beautiful drone footage of the whales too. I couldn't help wondering what could have caused the seemingly random scapes/scratches on the whale calf. Any idea?
@ProfessionalBoatCareКүн бұрын
I’m no expert but have often wondered the same thing. All I can assume is some mothers might have more barnacles than others and so the calf gets scratched when feeding etc.
@brianandrews1760Күн бұрын
@@ProfessionalBoatCare Thanks for the suggestion - that makes sense. In any case the calf doesn't seem to be bothered by it! Looking forward to your next video.

Funny was about to mention sandflies
@ProfessionalBoatCareКүн бұрын
Haha yes sounds like you’ve experienced them! I meet so many people in the creek who say it was my videos that inspired them to do the trip, so thought a few more tips on the realities of what to expect might be important. You can even see them flying around the camera lens at times. Yes they are bad - you couldn’t be there without insect repellent!! I wrote this article years ago but it points out the basics, including the things to be aware of like Irukandji etc. www.boatsales.com.au/editorial/details/fraser-island-trailerboat-travel-destinations-59234/

Thanks Peter for another interesting and informative vid. The new boat looks like a real beauty ! Did you / do you take extra fuel for a 4 day trip ?
@ProfessionalBoatCare2 күн бұрын
Thanks for watching! Yes I have 210 litres and carry an extra 70 litres in 10 litre Jerry’s hidden away down aft. Just depends on how much trolling etc.
