Fishing in a Fog

I am still searching Long Lake for more smallmouth bass now that I have caught a few. It was a foggy morning that I hoped would keep the bite going a little later into the morning.

Question for ya why no baitcaster?

I grew up using only spinning rods so when I tried owning a few baitcasters they feel awkward to me, I wasn’t accurate at casting, hated the backlashes, so I didn’t see any reason to keep using them or upgrade what I had. It’s rare that I get into a situation where I feel like only a baitcaster can be used. Is a spinning rod perfect 100 percent of the time? No, but it’s what I enjoy using and fishing is supposed to be enjoyable. That’s why I don’t fish many real tournaments. I don’t want to be forced to fish ways I don’t enjoy just to win money. That’s why I make poor lure choices sometimes is because that’s just what I feel like using at that time because it’s enjoyable to me. Hope that explains your simple question with too much info.
