I was away for the weekend with the family to Struisbaai, the southern most tip of South Africa. I started out fishing on the las for a black ray, where I do a bait demonstration on a massive bait, the next day I headed off to the shark capital of the western cape, no wait of South Africa or even maybe the world . Pieter managed to raise a bite and landed a massive shark. I had to head home, so I had to cut my chances of getting a bronze whaler SHARK short, but I will be back!

Awesome video 💪🎣 I'm relatively new to catching big sharks and rays. I have caught nice sized bluerays and a few small raggies and hounds, but not anything over 30kg. Do you have any tips? Before I make a stupid mistake and lose a big fish🙏😂

Thanks man...firstly make sure you have the right tackle to land big sharks and rays. For a start go with anglers that are really experienced in fishing for big sharks and rays not guys that think they are...learn from them...specially how to handle the fish

On the xxxh? I live it...it throws a big bait a long way but you have to put the power in to load it!

Hello Xander. Ek is tans besig om te besluit tussen die Horizon zero xxh 7-9 oz of xxxh 8-10 oz. Watter stok sou jy verkies vir groot vis ( Swart pyle en haaie) om groot aas te gooi en hoekom? Geniet die footage.

Op die surf geniet ek my xxh en van die rotse af my xxxh maar dit gesê gooi die xxxh n groot aas baie lekker in die surf....die xxxh kan n massive aas hanteer en trek.n vis baie lekker sonek sou sê die xxxh as jy groot haaie en pylies gaan target

Sorry vir die laat reply ek was in Angola. Baie dankie man....my laaitie se setup is n stradic 8000 en n spheros 8000 wat ek vir hom op n assassin spin 12ft short butt gesit het...die stokkie is lekker sag so dis nie hard op die jong span se rug nie, hy is lekker dun vir hulle hande om om die stok te gaan en die onderste butt is lekker kort dat hulle gemaklik kan rol
