Hey Andy! Thanks for the wonderful video! i landed here cause im traveling to thailand in november and im visiting the Khao Sok National Park. Did you booked a guiding or know if there is a way to book a guiding for this area? Sadly i have no fishing equipment with me, so i am dependent on an guidance.

Yes I booked a guide, it was a Thai outfit called Chiew Larn Fishing on Facebook, I'm not sure if they are still operating as that was a few years ago, you could give Neil at Fishing Khaolak Fishing a try, he's a great guide I'd recommend, contact him at [e-mail]. It's an epic venue I'm sure you'll enjoy it

You can catch them any time of the year really but I hear the best time is after they've spawned and they are protecting their young, you can see red balls of the fry near the surface and cast into those. Worth asking a guide about that if you want to go, I'm not really sure but some people say end of the rainy season is a good time. Thanks for watching!

Hi, I think it's under the name 'Chiewlarn Fishing' on Facebook, the contact guy is Khun Ek. Based in Surat Thani. I went with them a few times, they organized the boat, the fishing and the accommodation for me, all good, no hassles.

many thanks Jon, we got the raft accommodation included in the price from the fishing guide, but I think they charge 1,000b per person per night, and that includes food
