Nice session on the Carp and Reddies, but several guys from Deni swear by that area for Murray Cod in the summer. The bakery in town is worth a try too if you get back over there. Nice job and hopefully you get back there again!

@robbiefishing
@robbiefishing 2 ай бұрын
Hi John, no mate we are definitely allowed to release redfin in both NSW and in Victoria. The law states that we must not be in possession of live redfin. We can not transport them from one waterway to another, but we most definitely can release them back where we caught them.

@@johnmuller5342 Thanks mate. Unfortunately there are a lot of people spreading misinformation. With redfin it's almost like propaganda. I get people literally attacking me online for releasing redfin and trying to convince me that I'm wrong, but with my large following it's in my best interests to know the laws. LOL Some people just hate anything that isn't native and want them exterminated. Whether it's redfin, trout, deer, wild brumbies etc.... With redfin the law is in place to prevent any further spread of redfin into waterways where they don't already exist. If there's no redfin there, we don't want them there. But one they're already in a waterway they're almost impossible to fish out.

Thanks mate. Yep, these are the same thing. We call them redfin here in Australia but they're the same fish. 👍👍

@@TobysfishingNoutdoors Thanks buddy. This one has me a bit baffled. A bloke tells me I'm breaking the law but can't tell me how. LOL I assume he means because I release redfin, which isn't actually illegal. 🤔😕🤷

@@robbiefishing there’s nowhere apart from ACT/CAMBERA where it is actually illegal to release reddies, it’s your choice, I release them as well.
