I've also had beavers spook me with that tail slap before. It can definitely be startling! Fun video.

I crimp my panther Martin's hooks as well . I really enjoy using Rapala's on small streams and rivers and I often crimp the barbs on those as well . Your film quality is excellent.

Fishing in the dark for trout is actually one of the best ways, especially in creek settings. Try using a white body panther with a white/yellow blade. Killer. Or just a white crappie jig.

Fishing is a form of meditation, I'm sure of it. I bet that's even more so in the dark. Or if you're like me, you might just he nervous, haha.
