Cracking huss Alex 👍 North wall is very hit or miss but nice easy fishing til the water dissapears on you. Bay to the right is the place at low water for hounds and rays 😉

There are two fish that I saw you catch get upset and put back; dogfish and conger eel. As a Portuguese person (I was born there, it wasn't my choice, I assure you) these two fish make a great dish in Mediterranean food, based on olive oil, tomato, onion, garlic, paperica. This dish is made with several fish, it can also be made with just one fish, in which case the chosen ones are dogfish or conger eel. Recipe, in the video you see another order, modern of these times, I give the traditional. Cut onion into slices measuring about 7mm. Cut the tomato into slices measuring about 7mm. Cut potatoes into slices measuring about 8mm. 1/2 green paperica, 1/2 red paperica (or just 1 green or red)., coriander, the stem not the leaves, 4 garlic cloves, salt. Pepper depends on each person's taste. Put olive oil in the pan (if you have cockles or clams, put it at the bottom of the pan, it adds flavor and prevents the onion from sticking to the bottom) Add onion to cover the bottom of the pan Add tomatoes to cover the onion Garlic, paperica coriander, on top of the tomato, salt and pepper. Put the fish (no skin) COVER the fish with potato slices on top of the fish (it is important to cover the fish with the potatoes, even if there are more than you are going to eat). Add half a glass of water and half a glass of white wine. (When fishermen make this dish on boats, they only use a glass of sea water). When the potatoes are cooked the fish is cooked. To serve, remove the potatoes first onto the plates, then remove the fish. If you turn the pan over onto a plate, everything will fall to pieces. This video gives you an idea, although it lays out the ingredients in a way that made my grandmother and my mother turn around in their tombs.. With the written recipe and the video you have an idea of what to do. Sorry, I didn't find it with subtitles. Ps:With conger eel we usually also add two or three shrimps just for flavor. Eyup Alex... Just watched the latest episode.. And as soon as you mentioned Heysham my little fishing brain said Huss🎣🎣 I fished that mark a few year a go and bagged 2 of them back to back weighing 7 l/b each well in great watch as always hope to see you on the Holderness Coast soon as the hounds are starting to show now and a cracking 30 l/b tope came out on Spurn Rd this weekend... Like I said great watch as always and looking forward to the next one.. Tight lines 🎣🎣🎣🎣👌👌

Nice1 Alex and well done. I use to fish that mark in winter and catch decent codling and whiting. We Had some nice flounder too. I've Not fished for 6yrs though but it always seemed to perform 2hrs either side of high for anyone interested.

The north wall can throw up some great fish be it bass hounds and huss had some lovely huss from there up to 11lb bigger 1s if you walk out at low water happy for your catch pal 👍

Nice fish, it obviously made you very happy from the look on your face. Caught my first Blonde Ray 2 weeks ago from Aberystwyth Beach, not big only 19 inches across but gave me a smile as it was not expected at all. I have loads of Bull Huss here at Aberaeron but not that big, I think 5lb was biggest so far, not fishing there at moment as Sea Defences being built up/improved, hopefully it does not mess up the fishing.

Me and my m8 went to fish a mark at Kingsdown butts that was busy, we ended up on the beach round the corner and had a brilliant evening, you never know , but lines in the water so you got a chance capt
