I am back on the water with My buddy Dave and we are exploring some new water that neither of us have fished before.
A heap of rain the day before brought the river up and makes getting around somewhat difficult but we persevere and find some stunning fish.

Good perseverance, relate to those days, when through no fault of your own, the hook pulls and it’s a disappointing session. The other ones when you are just plain lucky, go to backcast, hook the fish of the day. Solid fish.

Very wise streamer set up. Floating line with a sink tip at the end. That indeed makes managing and meniding the line a lot easier, while at the same time letting your streamer go where you want. One question: did you put some lead bullets on your line to sink the streamer better, especially in the faster running parts of the river?

I use that NZ indicator a lot,but the tubing is pretty narrow for the amount of wool you use. Like you I tease out the wool but it always looks naff What's the secret apart from teasing it out?
