Fishing North-Side of Corpus Christi TX

Calm conditions allowed me to fish the Nueces Bay Causeway Rookery Island. By the time I got to the launch, the Corpus Christi Bay side was filled with boats fishing the structure, so I headed straight to the Rookery Island we're boats cannot get into the Rock perimeter.

I took her this Saturday, tho I didn't catch any fish 😌 I was concerned for her due to the heat, but I bring a small ice chest with water and give her a dip from time to time

Yep I have to wait until the temperature is cooler to take my dogs back to the surf. They run so hard I have to put them in the AC in my truck.

I've always been told you can't legally fish inside of the rocks as the island is a protect bird habitat. Is that true?

That is true. The island is a protected bird habitat. So long as you don't land on the island itself, I believe we will be alright. There is no sign that states that you can not enter inside the Rock Perimeter

Just came back from corpus Christi n got skunked tried fishing at the old ball hall pier and national seashore and got nothing to much seaweed and just couldn’t shi sucked

@@chrispbacon6810 I’m coming from Fort Worth and just went to the beach blind after being out the first day I thought the seaweed would be gone so I went to national seashore but nothing changed but next time I’m down in Corpus Christi I’ll try the bay never tried the bag actually
