My dad's friends were jealous used a yellow red and green spoon in the Machezie River it was in the old ferry crossings no boat caught a large walleye aswell in same spot. If you want to catch a 25 pound plus go to the chinchaga river were it meets the Hay River hard to get to you will have to charter a helicopter from High Level Alberta or have quads to get in that is where you will find your trophy pike cousin caught one it was so big it made mine look small

St. Croix Triumph, Heavy 7Ft Shimano Curado 200, spooled with 30lb Suffix I love this rod combo I’d recommend it to anyone with the budget. It’s caught pike, lakers and I’ve even set out some cut bait on the bottom of a river for big channel cats. It can handle it
