What a great dad you are. My dad left when I was about 4yrs old. My mum was left to bring up 3 boys by herself. She worked hard to provide food and clothes for me and my 2 brothers. We didn't have much but what we have now are memories of holidays and days out to the sea side. If I had a choice of a dad I would want you to be my dad. Hey Rob, first off I want to say I'm a huge fan and long time watcher of your channel. Since the start of your channel you have consistently fueled my passion for the outdoors and helped me build dreams of diving and fishing Florida and many other locations that you have been. I have learned countless things from you in your videos that I would otherwise have no idea how to do. Since the pandemic started your videos have been especially therapeutic to me. Being a paramedic my job has become increasingly stressful The last 10 months. After working a 24-hour shift I'm able to come home and sit down with my two boys and watch your videos. They have allowed me to spend more time with them while also de-stressing after a long shift at work. We have been able to bond over your content and create a love for the outdoors together. I can't tell you how much I appreciate you creating the opportunity for myself and my family. The three of us continually talk about the day where we are able to take a deep sea fishing trip and catch a load of mahi and tuna. My family and I are headed down to the Naples area in a few weeks and I am hoping to do a little fishing with my boys. Unfortunately we won't have a boat so we will be trying to fish inland from a couple of bays and was wondering if you had any tips for us such as gear and tackle. My kids would love nothing more than to get some fish and be able to clean them and eat them. That's all they talk about since watching your channel lol. If you have any suggestions or tips I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you for all the work that you do and the emphasis on the family element that you bring to your channel. Thank you for sharing this with us. I was 19, married, in the Air Force. We had so little money. I would kneel and pray that I could catch some fish. The Lord would provide Cutthroat Trout or Rainbows. My Lovely Bride, Gloria, would cook what I caught. This video was so awesome. 😎 I have a few years on u, but it brought a tear to my eye to see u still able to have a day w/your girls and your parents all together. I was never lucky enough to have my own children, and my parents have been gone 3 years now, just 4 months apart. Even so, I'm thankful that I was lucky enough to have a family like yours; grandpa took us kids to the local lake to fish sitting on the dock, we were in church every Sunday, we helped Grandpa/Ma pick tonight's veg and fresh tomatoes from their garden for sliced tomatoes that were a staple on every table @ mealtime. We played outside every day with free reign (as long as we were home by dark), and we prayed before every meal. Miss Betty could have been 1 of my aunts throwin' down in that kitchen! 👍🏼 They churned out some incredible down home cookin' that only a southerner or MW kid might understand! Simple, hardy, stick-to-your-ribs kind of food made from scratch. After our nightly baths, bedtime stories were read to us, followed by bedtime prayers said at the side of our bed, and we were tucked in feeling clean, full, warm, safe and loved. Your children are blessed to be able to experience this same kind of upbringing that will sustain them in later life when they are faced with the realities of life's challenges/disappointments. How lucky u are to have a life where u get to do what u love, make a wonderful living out of it, surrounded by family and friends. I imagine u lay your head down every night exhausted and happy, knowing that today was a life well lived. Also knowing u have all these videos to look back on with love, as time passes so quickly, knowing that things will eventually change. Even tho I miss my own family every day, my heart is full when I see this type of video, glad to know there are still families like yours out there. I am blessed that u were willing to take a chance and share part of your beautiful life with others. It reminds and sustains me knowing I was fortunate enough to experience this in my own life. My only wish is that all children could grow up in this utopian existence. A live well lived indeed! U didn't mention why Sara had surgery, but please let her know she is in our thoughts/prayers for a speedy recovery. Also how about a special shoutout to Miss Betty for coming in to hold the fort down and help out while Sara is on the mend. Superwoman! 😍Thank you for sharing this channel. Nick Allan I grew up hunting and fishing in Central Florida and I fished in the Keys my entire life. Robert and I have a very similar upbringing. I love this show, it’s one of my favourites on KZbin. The repetition of a single phase gets annoying to me because it’s a weird sensitivity.

Man what memories you've stirred up for me. I have 4 kids who are now ages 20-25. I remember so many times we went fishing and often dad wasn't able to fish much cause I was chasing poles for my kids. I live n Utah so we don't have puffers but I can guarantee you, if we did my kids would have gone bonkers. I have a 4yr old grandson who is autistic that we have been trying to get him interested in fishing. He loves seeing them but not feeling them. This year I think my goal of getting him to start fishing will happen and I can't wait till it warms up some so I can take him fishing. I have been a long time fan of your channel and it warms my heart to see how much you continue to put your family front and center into your life. Please keep up the videos and hopefully I can tell you about my grandson's first fish as soon as it gets a bit warmer here.
