What do you think is the best overall lure for inshore saltwater fishing?

I can't speak to Florida fishing, but in he northeast, you'll find a Bucktail in every tacklebox.

Lot's of people in Florida throw big bucktail looking jigs called Flarehawks for monster snook and tarpon, but I don't see the smaller bucktails used for anything other than mackerel really

Try switching your hooks out on the mirrodine to singles. The owner single replacement in size #1 works well for that size you're using here. I switched after I got sick of feeling like I was doing a root canal on an angry fish every time I caught one, the singles are way easier to use and dehook them on. Haven't had any come off with the singles either. You might find that it helps! Love the channel.

Been using mirrOdine lures in fresh and salt, never let down in the right conditions, funny you mentioned the hooks, traded my own out w/owner#1 singles. Keep That Rod Bent!

Dude, congrats! I remember subbing when you were at like 15k subscribers. Your channel has grown so much in the last couple years! Also, about time someone posted a good mirrodine video. I thought everyone forgot about the ol faithful mirrolure!

I honestly used to struggle with it too, but just kinda forcing myself to throw it more helped me gain confidence in it because it really does catch fish

What's your connection to Salt Strong? Are you a member, coach, or...? I joined recently and have enjoyed the content. Found your channel here and am digging it too.

I’m good buddies with a couple of the guys that work at Salt Strong. I am a member and we do have it set up where I get a commission if people buy gear from them using my links, but no I’m not a coach or an employee. And thanks for watching the vids, I appreciate it!

Didn't your grandpop tell you, that fishing with no shoes will turn you into a hippie? I know this because I'm not just a grandpop, but I'm also a hippie.

I usually wear either shoes or boots to keep the sun off of them, but every once in awhile you gotta let the dogs out
