When we pier fish people would catch giant tarpon when they were on their way back south. We never got small ones only giants. Like 150-200#+ sized fish. The only problem when catching one of them is after the 1-3 1/2 hour fight most of them unfortunately die. Lucky for us we had a turtle rescue that would take them to feed to the turtles but it also sucked to see an old actively reproducing animal die. This was in NC. I wish they would add sharks to the game. Sharks are a blast!

If you hit "X" when you're holding your catch up, you'll get a different and kind of cool view of it without all of the screen dialog. Didn't know if you knew that or not. I discovered it by accident. Vicious_Bear

Vicious Bear if you press X on ps4 while holding your fish it will RELEASE it... You have to hold R1 and use right joystick to look around.

I have thought of going there. The problem is it is sooooo expensive! I have unlimited licenses for Mudwater River, Emerald Lake, Neherrin River, and the Everglades, so I spend a lot of time in those areas to each more cash.

you are having trouble?! try to fight 16kg unique northern pike (Michigan) on Fenix rod (its for 10kg) - I have been fighting that pike 2 real life hours and when I finaly got that MF my 9,1 kg test line was in 1% durability :D It was like fighting Moby-Dick

float fishing sux in the game i can cast out with like a lure type and catch a fish almost every cast. then float ill sit and wait and wait and wait... then good luck if a unique hits when you have a float there is some glitch since the very first release of the game where you miss 50% of uniques with float fishing. ps. another thing i hate about the game is they are so far off on weights of fish compared to real life. just the uni lmb the world record is like 22.4# and the uni in the game is like 10# lol a trophy largemouth bass in real life is like 11.5# lol.. avg tarpon capt jeff is pulling up in florida is like 100#.. and tarpon grow up to 300#.
