I just notice that I can be fishing one minute, practising my presentations, and when the comp starts, idk if its barometrics or what, but the universe switches to new rules world, and nothing normal works in that realm. I see teams winning and thanks fine sometimes I can find a little trinket to slightly keep up, but its like theres a secret that no one talks about and if you get past that one thing , you see the world for what it is and it makes sense. To be fair though, way way back in the day of gold coins for big fish years back to when the game first started even, comps were always far different than outside comps. Practicing was often pointless because of this and I don't see any change there at all to be honest. The massive change for me is just how far people have pushed the comps, I mean 38kg of peacock bass could win that comp that everglades for example back in the day, today anything under 80 is bad it seems. It's the same with other competitions, they have pushed them to literally the limits of possibility (this is without cheats obviously) and it's just extremely hard to win anything or even top 10 now days even for experienced players and so for new people leveling up and trying them out, it must be a nightmare. Another thing that bugs me is how long there is between official game competitions, I mean I loved it back in the day when the comp layout was different, I mean you literally had one to jump into all of the time and that was fun for people who don't wish to farm and just like competitions to both compete against others and friends. Anyway as far as cheating goes, it used to be around and so I fully expect it is still around now.

It''ts cheats. When I did the math and the winner of a 30 minute comp caught 1 fish every 26 seconds. WIth NO rod stand. In the meantime, I caught 4 fish in 30 minutes at a level 40 at a lake I know how to crush (Rocky). The tell to me is when you ask about it in the chat you get "figure it out bud. You're not good enough". That's not how this game is with normal players. Everyone helps. In the comp it's "Fuck off you suck" It's Cheats. Period.

I know there's people of integrity and deserve comp wins. However I kinda wonder for example, for say Moonlight Gars. I was seeing an average of 1 Gar per minute, when you can only use 1 rod. That's a minute to cast, get bit, fight and land the fish. Maybe I'm wrong but that's pretty impressive and hard for me to believe. Maybe some exploit or hack. Maybe I'm missing something. I've only played less than 6 months.

It would seem like that at first but some competitions that seem crazy later on will seem more realistic, when I use popper at Moonlight gars I can get 15 without cheating and I'm not that that great at that comp any more.

Finally an honest assessment of the game. Like you, I feel the game gets repetitive or comps are. Once you learn the routine its the same thing pretty much everytime. Fish are in the exact same spots at the same times. The multiple account has been going on since I started in 2018. I know 2 people who got suspended for a year for having multiple accounts when they didn't even have multiple accounts and would just use the same ps4 to play comps. When accused of having multiple accounts then actually made the new accounts.. See people with all kinds of accounts for year's and nothing happens to them. I'm in the top 100 as well. Haven't played since December of last year, did a comp the other day and am still in the top 100. The top 100 used to mean something but don't really matter any more most of the numbers are fake and several people wouldn't be in it if not for dumping baskets in comps. . I've been playing since 2018 as I stated earlier but only have just over 500 days in game. That tells you a lot. I get bored with it quickly because of the repetitiveness of the game. It does get boring after a while doing the same thing in the same spots over and over. Just wanted to say couldn't agree more and you made a good assessment of the game. .

The best result i have got with comps is 5th in Steelhead Showdown and One Of Us Two of Asp these comps r mainly r and g based and NOT total weights comps, which i think they should remove completely. Also an actual league system would be gr8 for new , immediate and expert players so then ppl might have a fair chance even though the multiple accounts i hate. I have heard from another player one particular individual (who is prominant and not be named) admitted in chat that they "have cheated again" got a mediocre 1 month ban slap and still plays to this day with multiple accounts. How is this person not perma banned from the game? Cheating still goes on with teleporting, instant reeling and yet devs do absolutely nothing about it. I feel very disillusioned with system comps and feel like not doing them again. The comps seem more fair are the custom ones with "closest weight" or "weight difference from smallest to largest fish" u have a chance. I like the game but the rot of cheating and the same ppl always winning comps kinda kills the "fun" experience for me. Sry for wall of text but had to vent

I was playing comps before they zeroed everyone's trophy count. after that I stopped, but what I saw during that time was the same person and his friend not only winning every event (including the noob events by 2nd account using), but blowing away the losing scores. I pointed this out how this happens to the developers and nothing was done.

There is no point denying that everything listed in the video is actually true. Soopa Dave named names and gets hammered because of that. I know good ranking players as well who have multiple accounts but Im not gonna reveal them. The real issue is not that people have multiple accounts. Its impossible to catch them as they can always claim its the child or wife or whatever. The biased Fish AI should be fixed that all players would have equal chance and fix the comp registration. Why not list all comps for every 24h and you can register to only 2. Then top 12 will be chosen and you have 24h to play those 2 comps. If the comp where you registered is not in top 12, then you can reregister to those 12 but still be limited to 2 comps per 24h. Yes players can still create multiple accounts but at least it makes it a lot harder to be in every comp. And also why not reveal those multiple accounts in UI, why not show when the accounts are playing on the same console. The truth is, comp part is not the one that makes money for the FP team, so their focus is not fixing those issues, unless its something really easy to do.

I gave up on comps it's just so frustrating I don't even have a chance there's x-series items I want and I can't get them like the x-series 7/0 carp hook and the x-series 12/0 Cap Hook and I do know a guy that works for fishing Planet team he has multiple accounts and plays comps and wins a lot hope they fix this someday

You left out double uniques on rodstand (don't' think it has been fixed on PS4 at least) and telescope rod on float comps. They somewhat have fixed it on Sharks and Perch (Congo) but still works on most fishes.

I honestly think it's full of the way some of these players in the competitions are only there to compete and not even getting it giving anyone else a chance to try and get those lures that we want to get cuz we would like to fish with them too like how many times do they need to get the same lure no why don't they give other people a chance to play too it's really unfair

I have always felt the comps are just a way for devs and their pals to stock up on xseries gear, like when I start a comp all my regular hot spots are dead but guys are immediately pulling out uniques.....kind of fishy 😂

But I think there is even more flawed mechanics in the Fish AI itself. I can't find the link anymore, but there was a forum post about how the games API has expected score and expected place on competition APIs, just next to real score and real place fields. After I read about it I have kept this in mind and I can definately say that there is something unfair going on with the comps. So many times I have been able to predicts quite accurately my final position range after 15 minutes of gameplay, like the end result is actually predetermined. And this started to happen when they introduced the custom competitions feature 2 years ago. Maybe it's not true, but I can definitely agree with it based on my own gameplay. And when you have a competitive game where game engine actually chooses who can compete and who can't then this is flawed mechanics. I don't mean that I'm targeted specifically. Maybe there's some A/B testing involved to increase the revenue or to stop same players winning the comps. Whatever it is, it makes practicing pointless on competitions where there are guides available in KZbin.

Look at the weekly xp board. there's usually accounts that are leveled 1-80+ in less that 4 days in game....even if you had premium, you fished THE ENTIRETY OF THE 4 DAYS, and you was using the meta leveling guides.....THERE IS STILL NO WAY TO DO THAT....even if you find an exploit that lets you catch the unique at an obscene rate, you can't make it past the top 10. any time i mentioned this in the chat, i was met with its either hacks or dev accounts. i look back now and wish i had kept all the screenshots my cat was taking while i was chatting and fishing but i knew if was show it to anyone, there would be friendship problems. i took the time to get a know a handful of people some a little deeper some only having 1 conversation with. Some only fish a few min at time, some for many hours. i tried to find the average player, and what i found was that the average player player is gone soon after max lvl. no care for comps, no care for any leaderboard other than the biggest fishes where they are fishing. but the disturbing thing i found was people playing on alt accounts and ACTING like someone else. The devs have a quite proportionate untapped market of people that just want to fish and meet other people that are fishing. i believe this would move the average playerbase to an area that would stick around much longer. A translator would scale this a lot. i met a crazy number of people from around the world and the biggest problem was having to translate everything on both ends of the conversation. it isnt all about the numbers.....you have a very silent community of good people that is just walking away because they have no friends playing or they see have no chance of reaching the top. its like the devs have forgotten the culture or spirit of fishing as a sport. Fair and Friendly..........The game is not fair because i believe the devs support the ridiculous numbers at the top because it gives players a goal to chase. but is an unfair goal. most that try cant reach it even if they go all out to the point of burning out. the comps and leaderboards right now are burning players out. no incentive and unreachable goals as a fair player...and i do think premium is fair in a free to play game.

You can absolutely ago from 1-80 in 4 days with the Congo pack. U You can actually do it in 2 or 3 days if you have enough time. Also the weekly xp leaderboards are bugged out currently as you can catch more xp then leaders and still not be on it

@@SoopaDaveGaming thanks for the reply. i had to get away from the game becouse while i play ANY game, i look for biases in an rng system. i keep count of nearly everything. with your reply i started thinking that maybe bugs can account for some of the biases ive found in fishing planet......its a pretty buggy game so i could be wrong. and just happened across somw bugs that are hard to reproduce....like when you find a cheesy way to catch fish and then use that to catch an obscene amount of fish then go hours without catching fish. i asked about a soft anticheat that could detect someone using an exploit but got no actual answer. i was told that it doesnt reflect in thier data.......but yet i had people reproducing the ?bug? then a week later after i made a few tickets on it, nobody could reproduce it. it all felt wrong to me. but i could be wrong and its just a bug that got fixed..i tend to overthink why the fly lands on a turd and not a flower....so i can very well overthink a simple bug i think. thanks for the guides and such as well. ive pointed a few people to your guides (and other guides) and they saved me an insane amount of explaining over the text based chat,

What I would do is make the comp time random, you will never know when the comp starts or ends and if they want to stop same people winning all the time limit the comps count per day or something.

What I meant is that it is absolutely normal that someone who has played a competition 100 times is better than someone who has watched a KZbin video and plays it first time. But what FP devs have tried to do is even those players out so that everyone would have a chance. I stopped practicing when I found out that. I don't belong to any team so for me the only chance was to practice a few comps to be the best in those. But now we are in a situation where I can finish bottom 10% in them because the game nerfs me and win comps I have never played by watching Soopa-Daves or someone else's videos. So no, I'm not complaining that its the same 50-100 people who are in top 10 all the time :). I suggest to watch Soopa-Daves last tournament comp and you understand what I mean. For me this has happened more than once where I practiced for a tournament 40-50h, got decent average scores 4 times in a row and then in the real event didn't manage to get even half of that score because the game nerfed. And I know all about the weather differences etc. So if there's anyone who seems to be more in top 10 positions nowadays, its because they practically play every comp there is 24/7. Those who don't believe me go check out the leaderboard game count for those players and like Soopa-Dave said also take into account that on those times they do not do well they dump the fish so game will not count it as a participation. I have never cared about the leaderboard because I know that it doesn't matter how good I'm in the game I can never compete with those players as I have other hobbies as well.

You missed some real issues... The leaderbaord is a cancer, its the cause of people "farming" skill rating on a lot of comps once they know something others don't. Good example, Roachrider, top scores of 600-800, with 5th place usually as low as 100 score. People using hacks that can be seen in a few places online. They know what fish to let of hooks, they use no fish fight on total weight comps to save time. They can fish from spots others cant reach without boats etc. Ive personally reported 2 players using the above mentioned, fishing in public rooms, in the past week. Both are still playing daily. If you want to know if people are using these.. simply compare steam scores with windows scores, you will be shocked at the difference because they can't use it on windows version. The troy rod exploit on most float comps, like meaty fellas in congo, people using it for no fish fight where others have to spend up to 5mins fighting a unique. If one player doesnt have to fight 50 catfish and the other does its pretty obvious who will win. For design, the biggest problem is all comps are sequential, allowing people to farm them one after the other. Multiple comps should run at the same time, giving players more choices and spreading out the players a little. Baitcoins should be removed as a reward along with "skill rating". The only rewards should be x-series. Mechanics. The spawn system is too easy to figure out, making most total weight/score etc comps nothing but a repetitive rotation. There needs to be a random element to spawns too. Comps like Battle of Kaniq is alot better in my opinion with a little more RNG element, it allows for more winners and more people to get a reward. And lastly.. amateur comps f knows why they are even in the game. New players cant even realisticly get enough money at those levels to even do them, they get canceled, and the other 99% of comp players sit there for 3-4 of those a day wonder wtf to do. Nothing like getting online Saturday and being greeted with 3 amateur comps in a row. If they really want amateurs, run it with the rest of players, and score the people on lower levels separately.

@@SoopaDaveGaming well if they cared about the hacking there is at least 1 thing they could be implementing with no more than a couple of lines of code. That would flag the majority of accounts using it rn. I would be happy to get in contact with the devs to discuss a really simple solution. But it seems they simply do not care, they dont even remove people caught with video evidence flying around lakes.

How about making it where if a player places in a comp high enough to get a prize they are locked out of that comp for a month, or 2. do the players with Multiple accounts do they all share the ISP address? if so if a player gets any prize in a tourny the ISP address is locked out of the tourny for 1 to 3 months. I Admit I don't know much about all of this stuff. another question what is different between a 4/0 simple hook and a X series 4/0 hook. more xp per catch? something about the hook that attracts fish?. I can maybe see how a X series lure could make a difference, but not sure of the advantage of an X series hook or bobber?

You didn't even scratch the surface :D I just might contact you lol... But anyway... - I think you can play multiple accounts in Competitions but NOT in tournaments. You can only play multi account in Tournaments if you play the tourney on different platform. Ex: Steam, Windows, Playstation, etc... If you play a tournament on same platform 2 accounts you will get banned. Maybe you also cannot play comps but I am just not 100% sure. - Dumping fish is a very old "trick" to lose negative rating. For those who don't know, if you play a comp and you have a bad streak, if you dump you will get 0 points as if you never competed. - Fishing Planet Community Managers (or Gamemasters) are NOT allowed to play competitions or tournaments on any platform. This has been confirmed. Anyone who got "GM-Name" cannot play competitive even on their normal account.

100% agree with you on the issues it has. Also Under the EULA Rules 1.01 States you can only have one account per server(Platform). While I don't know if this person has a GM name, they are employed by Fishing Planet and Play Comps, that is my concern.

@@SoopaDaveGaming Allright, I'll contact you. You won't be happy... But also what I forgot to add to my list is the Tournament Guides for Qualifiers from various KZbinrs. IMO that IS Cheating because lot of people (you, me included) spend hours and hours practicing and actually finding spots and then guides show up and give lazy people a real shot at Semis. If you gave some tips of lures and maybe 1-2 spots that would be fine but guides I've observer lately literally tell exact position, time and everything for all spots that KZbinr knows... It is crazy... Now with the boat on the line someone who didn't put any time will watch the qualifier tutorial and GET the RNG and get Semis (where they will be destroyed) while someone who put in the work for qualifiers and semis will be left with their willy floating in the wind. Semi is only 60 people out of 600+... Tournaments are once a month. It is a competition. Even if someone does not take it seriously I think they shouldn't be making videos for lazy people who again, will be destroyed in Semis because they have no clue what to do. EDIT: I know there are streams of tournament qualifiers and even semis and finals but that is a lot of video to watch. These tutorials I am ranting about now are condensed, 15min videos with ALL the info you need to qualify.

Tournament is 20hrs to fish ure 2hrs so in theory u could play 10 account's in q1 q2 n q3 till u qualify. Some people qualified 2 n 3 x for the same Tournament if not more. 1 taking spots away from other players. 2 learning the bite pattern 2 better thete odds . 3. I could give multiple more reasons why . Not fair for the game let alone the players who enjoy what's best 4 the game

I thought every video you made to this point was helpful, and well done. Which is why I was surprised to see this. Not everything you said was false, there are many things that could change about the game. Its rather odd that you've stopped playing "comps" for "personal reasons" yet reasons you've made this video on... have been that way for a very long time and you know that. So let me get this straight, you've basically been gathering up information then use this information in your KZbin video but "its ok because you redacted parts of a post but included chat party messages and edit custom Arrows etc etc etc... that seems rather planned out if you ask me so be careful about what you choose to post in future videos because this appears to have bad intentions.
