Fishing Quail Creek Reservoir, Early Fall (End September), Utah

Beautiful early Fall day, seemed appropriate to give Quail Creek a shot and enjoy the cooler weather. Began by trolling for trout and then trying for some Bluegill. Encountered school after school of fingerling Largemouth Bass, huge schools. Whenever I seemed to locate some Bluegill, soon the Bass would swarm and that would be all I could catch. Back and forth trolling for Trout was slow, don't know if they have been fished out or weren't interested due to the abundance of the fingerling Bass?? Regardless, great day on the water!

have some friend from Loa that went to Otter Creek and got over 20 trout in about 4 hrs trolling and they where all nice fish.. Panquitch was very slow.

The lures look bigger then the bass

I have not. Absolutely you should, anything that could possibly tilt the chance to catch a fish! I see plenty of anglers using them on Quail. I'll have to give it a shot myself!
