Good job! Haven't fished rudee in a while. Looking forward to seeing more content, get comfortable with speaking more and explaining tactics, habitats, fish you're targeting, etc. Tight lines!

It's nice to see the trout biting. We've been catching small ones at the Fort Monroe pier. I didn't get to go out in my kayak this weekend but I caught a lot of flounder over the summer. Only 3 keepers and maybe 70 shorties. I just moved here last year and I'm still learning where to go. I love the HRBT and also the Back River and Poquoson. I grew up in Florida and it's kinda similar and also very different. But I like it here. The fishin' is pretty good and I can grow my stinky little plants here legally. Can't do that in Florida. Maybe I'll see you on the water. I need to try Rudee with my kayak, I've only fished from land there. Lynhaven is another spot I need to try. I'd love suggestions for places to go around Hampton, especially from shore but kayak spots are great too.

That's a lot of flounder ! Nice work! IMO not much option in Hampton especially from shore.. There is fox hill boat ramp you can lunch your kayak, fish in back river or factory point corner drop, some flounder there.. There is also Buckroe fishing pier you can try it out. Porthsmouth city park ramp you can try to fish Elizabeth river, old docks, concrete blocks and bridge pilings, for sheepshead red black drum. You can also launch at Elizabeth river park boat ramp for some good size trout, trolling works pretty good there. HRBT each ends produce fish around the piling or around the rip raps island. Welcome to the area again ! Tight lines!
