Also NY don't usually get that big of LM, as well here in MN my biggest is 8 lbs 6 oz, seems like you gotta go farther down south for the double digits, I think they get bigger down there because the lakes don't freeze so their food source, frogs, bugs, ducks, etc are available year round where up north they are not!!

Back in 2010 when Rapala came out for PS3, they had a lake called Lake Casitas. I moved to California for a job and thought that sounds like a California name. Sure enough I found out it was a real lake about 4 hours from me. The video game nailed the accuracy of that lake from the definition to the fish. Talked my wife into going there. Google images showed pigs named Bass. They look like fish but they're pigs with huge guts. Anyways, we went there, rented a boat, and fished for a day. Didn't catch anything but had fun anyways. Seen alot of cool things like deer on the cliffs, Hawks, fish took my wife's bait but she didn't know how to set the hook properly. Fun time regardless.

Theres only 4 different tournaments right now, but I like how they have them set up. Its much more convenient than having to wait for them in fishing planet. Let me know what you think of the game when you get it, Schwifted.

Move your rod around while reeling it in giving twitches and stuff to give it action, when using hard baits with treble hooks you wanna set the hook quicker than with soft plastics you give it a second like you would in real life, that's what it means about the strike and how you set the hook!

I commented this before watching the whole vid and this is the first vid of yours I have seen, but for me I like to keep my rod tip down while reeling so its easy to jerk straight back to set the hook and seems to work out better!

No, and here is why. I really looked forward to another fishing game that has great groundfishing. Being a carp fisher for almost as long as i can remember, i was really hoping this game had it. It does not. It feels very arcade, and i hope they intended that. This game is not a sim because there's so many things they forgot to put in or just did it wrong if its in there. I understand many people love this game and seeing you catch bass and having fun fishing i really believe that. But try the carp fishing bro, it is as they say a copy of eurofishing and that is NOT a compliment. So i went and grabbed my money back.

Down in the Midwest smallmouth are green there known as the neosho smallmouth. Up north there known as the northern smallmouth which are more Bronze

Good information to have. I'm technically in the midwest, in Indiana, and I've only seen them bronze. We call them "bronzebacks" here. But I don't doubt that vary in color in different parts of the country. Thanks for watching!

Jake Vegas Digital I’m in southwest Missouri the two species are slightly different the bronze backs or northern smallmouth like colder water where the green or neosho smallie likes the water slightly warmer but still like cooler swifter clean water . Adapting to habitat probably has to do with the color variety

The hooking mechanics are funky

They take some getting used to, Cheesy. If you're using a controller, pulling downward n the right thumbstick sets the hook fairly well.

I have to respectfully disagree. If you look at some of the tournament results from BASS and FLW, those tournaments like St. Clair were pretty close weights throughout the leaderboard. It is possible to catch a big bag but still be mid pack

You know it's funny, when I played Rapala Pro Bass Fishing 2010, which I believe is the best fishing game, I seen they had a lake called Lake Casitas. It made me think, is this a real lake? It sounds Californian! Sure enough I looked it up and it was 6 hours away from me. My wife and I packed up one weekend and went fishing! I looked up the game map, real map, looked around and thought how cool is this?! I'm at the lake that was in a video game! We didnt catch shit but I'll always remember that! My wife did have a hit but she didn't know what to do and it got away. She should've played the game I guess haha. The fish from that lake are pigs though. Google it.

Well done.. I think DTG had done well on this one.. Though hope they fix the control scheme for the PC users.. They can't map there keys to way they want which is killing the game many I noticed.

I never played euro fishing, but I've heard quite a few people say fishing sim world is better than it. I personally am enjoying the game. I use an xbox controller on PC while playing. I think this helps alot.

It will release as a full game. You do have to earn money to buy new equipment, but all the lakes are open to you when you begin, and you don't have to spend money on travel costs and licenses to fish. There might be DLC for it in the future too.

Thanks for the footage. The more the better. I do enjoy your content about Fishing Planet, hence the sub ;) Abut this, well, I won't pre-order it, that for sure. I reckon, even though it's only beta, this game has to go a long way to be a FP competitor. FP itself wasn't any special at the beginning, as far as I know. I guess that's the way game are (un) made nowadays. I miss the way it was back in a day. Ready made game or fiasco. Now they release stuff, patch it day one and work on it for month with oir money in their pockets...

Many games seem to be released "early access" and what not, and not be completely fisnished. I agree, would like to go back to the days when games were released and they were fully functional. Fishing Sim World has a completely different "feel" than fishing planet, but I still find it to be a worthwhile fishing game. The avatar does look like he wants to beat the brakes off that fish lol

I'm hesitant on answering this question. Personally, I am enjoying fishing sim world thus far. If you're accustomed to playing other fishing games, the controls may feel a bit awkward, but I have been getting used to them rather quickly.

It is a much different game then fishing planet. It has a different "feel" to it than other fishing games. Kind of like how Call of Duty and Battlefield are both shooter games, but very much different in how they "feel."

I don’t know jake I feel like this game would be pretty good if they had fish fight mechanics like in fishing planet this game has them beat in lake sizes boat gameplay bait choices it’s just the fish fights seem so easy plus it seems like you can catch big fish with any rod and reel at least in fishing planet your line would snap or you’re rod plus 3 pound bass gave you a bigger fight then ten pounders in this game just my opinion not saying fishing planet is better just the fish fights seem better in that game

I don't know since it's still early there could be changes to the fishes fight. Since dovetail specializes in Sims I would be wiling to bet my bottom dollar we will get good updates for this.

the sound for reeling in is pretty awful and doesn't really line up with what's happening. also: do the fish move? seems like if you see it on the graph it just stays in place easy peasy. And 40 lbs on day 1 is 8th or 9th place? Not really realistic at all. Seems like everyone was just raking in trophy smallies and 9+lb largemouth. Not really a sim. And to top it off you can't even use the trolling motor :( Is it just drive around, look for large fish icon.. throw basically anything at it and it' bite?

Fishing games are supposed to relieve stress not cause stress ! This game is cancer ! And there is nothing accurate about anything in this trash game, we are in 2018 not 2005. This game is an underdeveloped piece of shit and you can’t even make progress or earn money. The tournaments are bullshit, the A I will always beat you . I’ve been playing for 2 days and only have 14,000 points. Every time you pay your entry fee to the tournament you lose more money than you win, if you win. This game is a fraud and I would rather play sega on the PlayStation 2.
